A Bangkok motorcycle taxi rider allegedly tried to run over a passenger who complained about his reckless driving. The scary scene unfolded outside a hotel in Soi Sukhumvit 13, leaving the passenger shaken and seeking justice.

The 41-year-old victim, Aunyamanee, shared her terrifying story with the non-profit group, Saimai Survive. The incident took place around 2 a.m. on the 20th of August, beginning with a ride from the On Nut area, which was fraught with danger due to the rider’s alarming behaviour.

During the journey, the rider reportedly ran red lights and sped excessively, ignoring Aunyamanee’s pleas for a safer ride.

Aunyamanee arrived at the wrong location, even though she had correctly inputted the destination in the app, and paid the 57 baht fare via mobile banking. However, when she confronted the rider about his hazardous conduct, he became visibly irate.

A heated exchange ensued, with the rider justifying his actions by claiming he was in a rush to complete more trips and expressing frustration over the cheap fare.

Tensions escalated when the rider allegedly revved his engine and attempted to drive towards her, narrowly missing her in a shocking act that was partially caught on camera by nearby witnesses.

The rider then fled the scene as onlookers began recording. In response, Aunyamanee reported the incident to Lumpini Police Station, submitting video evidence to support her case.

Ekkaphop Lueangprasert, the founder of the watchdog group Saimai Survive, has vowed to follow up on the incident. He is urging police to scrutinise CCTV footage along the rider's route to verify alleged traffic violations. As the enquiry continues, the identity of the rogue rider is still under investigation, adding another layer of urgency to the unfolding case.

She booked through the APP and Paid into his Bank Account - how much more information do they need ? Unless the rider was using a mule APP account and a Mule Bank Account...

Silly girl though - never argue with these unhinged cases...  I think most of us all recall the American (Troy Lee Pilkington) who, in 2013 was killed by a taxi driver with a machete after arguing over 51 baht and throwing a coffee in the taxi drivers face after believing he had been cheated.

So, your way is giving in to whatever they do, as they should be allowed to force their ways with violence or violent methods. Think you just went a little bit silly there. 😂

Anyway, good of this guy to confirm his was a reckless driver. He probably didn´t reflect over that fact!

A "safer ride" with a Thai motorcycle driver, especially a Thai Taxi motorcycle driver?
