Dear Folks,

 

Are the Russians now, or can they be considered to be, The LAST of the MOHiCANS, in the fields of classical music production, and appreciation?

 

Why is this?

 

In the WEST, most classical music now being produced is turning to mush.

Sort of a mix of pop, classical, and heavy metal, seemingly.

I cannot listen to the new stuff coming from Amerika, for example.

 

Take ROSTROPOVICH, for example...

There seems to be nobody on the horizon in New York, especially at Julliard, that will be even one-tenth as great and EARTHY, too, as good ole' ROSTRO-P.

 

Can it be that what they say is true?

 

When a culture, meaning the Western Culture, begins to go down the drain...then....

Great Musik is quickly replaced with all that is substandard.

 

You know the music that I am talking about because....

I have posted just too many vids of substandard music in TV....

It's all substandard, in my opinion.

I just post it because it's amuzing to listen to....

And, because I feel such nostalgia for the likes of MICK, for sure...

 

But, Mick cannot compare to ROSTRO....

 

I am thinking that we might save our world if EVERYBODY would discard all substandard POP music, and begin listening to GREAT MUSIC, instead.

For sure....

Great Music, if we listen long enough, will change the brain stem, and other parts of the brain.

This is no joke, because we can quote many studies which prove this is true.

 

Maybe I will post a few examples.

And, where do I get this great music, in the first place?

Well...OFF RUSSIAN websites,....OF COURSE...

Because, YT is now pretty lousy at offering what we SHOULD BE LISTENING to...

And just provides content which will wreck our world, soon or later....

Probably sooner...

It isn't Heavy Metal that rots the brain but bad parenting and overt drug and alcohol use. I like Classical and Heavy Metal, along with most other genres besides Rap, Hip Hop, Pop and electronic. Having an eclectic music taste has you listening to all genres depending on mood, and has you appreciate all of them for the reasons they exist. Everything from Bach to Threshold, Lynyrd Skynyrd to Brahms, from Enya to Judas Priest, from Genesis to Joe Bonamassa, from Mantovani to April Wine, from The Doobie Brothers to Al Dimeola, from The Cars to UFO, from Gordon Lightfoot to Kansas, from Budgie to Mark Knopfler, from Linda Rondstadt to Savatage, from Blackhawk to Aerosmith, from The Allman Brothers to Paganini, from Molly Hatchet to Jeff Beck, from Tom Petty to Black Sabbath and from ELO to Molly Tuttle, and everything in between.

Music should be a personal experience.

However, one of the reasons that many people are not able to appreciate great music is that they did not spend the time when they were young.

Great music is in the ear of the beholder. The less prejudiced one has for different music the greater their appreciation for it.

Catered mostly to the younger crowd but still  excellent movies, and some of the highest rated on IMDB. All of them in the top 12.

I do listen to some bouncy popular classical music like Strauss. Went to see Swan Lake last year even

but there's a lot that sends me to sleep. 

One girlfriend was lead violinist in a university orchestra. Saw me dozing in the third row and she broke up with me immediately. 😔 

However, Godsmack will keep me awake while driving.
