I suppose it's possible but I think that objectively it's unlikely. That shouldn't give very much hope to decent Americans that want the dystopian maga authoritarianism to end as Vance has the potential of being even worse, though obviously with an entirely different style (or more like lack of style as he has the charisma of a soiled old sofa).

I’m thinking the maggots die with trump there are still decent people who are republican law makers that are beaten down by the threats of trump just my opinion but I think it dies with trump still going to be messy tho.

I think American democracy is already dead and under Vance the republicans won't give up the total power that Trump delivered. 

There will be elections, but just show elections to gain fake legitimacy as in other authoritarian countries.

Also keep in mind that Vance's mentor Thiel who bought him a senate seat has an explicit anti-democracy philosophy.

What the heck is going on with Donald Trump’s hands? This was a topic of some discussion in recent days, and it has been inadvertently reinforced by the former baseball player Roger Clemens, who today posted footage of himself golfing with the President.

The confusion began back on Friday, US time, as Mr Trump made a public appearance in front of the cameras with some sort of makeup slathered on the upper side of his right hand. (Concealer, maybe? Honestly, I really don’t know. Do not look to me for expertise on the subject.)
