Formally, The US government put Al Capone in jail because he didn't pay his taxes. The US wasn't lying when they put Al Capone in jail for that reason. But we also know that there is a difference between a formal reason and a real reason. The real reason was different - Al Capone was put in jail for banditry.
As a lawyer by education and by way of thinking, Vlad would never have entered Ukraine if he had not been confident in his rightness.

This is a non answer.   Since you are a lawyer by education, I expect a well thought out reply.

Although Vlad openly says that Ukraine is ours and that there is no reason to recognize its independence (in the sense of independence of the land) - he does not focus public attention on this. After all, he knows very well that there were also internal reasons for the collapse of the Soviet Union - not everyone in Russia shares his Soviet dreams. Therefore, Vlad considers the SMO in Ukraine as an instrument for re-educating people, which year after year increases the percentage of people who are for the restoration of the USSR. Vlad is waiting for this percentage to be so large that the return of the country can be carried out as quickly as possible in one day and no one from the elite will dare to object to him.

Let`s do some googling.

You see the link to the original text in Russian, right?
https://ru.wikisource.org/wiki/Декларация_Совета_Республик_ВС_СССР_от_26.12.1991_№_142-Н

And after that you just copy paste the name of the organ who made this decision in Russian: "СОВЕТ РЕСПУБЛИК ВЕРХОВНОГО СОВЕТА СССР"
And google will show you what you see on the screenshot -
Let`s copy/paste it into translate.google.com - and you see this -

The Council of the Republics of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR (Council of the Republics of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR) is the upper chamber of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, created on the basis of the USSR Law of September 5, 1991 N 2392-I "On the Bodies of State Authority and Administration of the USSR during the Transitional Period", but not provided for in Article 111 of the Constitution of the USSR.

Did you see this - "but not provided for in Article 111 of the Constitution of the USSR". When Gorbachev created this council, he violated the constitution and, according to the law, should have been executed for illegally appropriating power.

Similarly, you can create your own organ like "Supreme council of Russia" that is not legal according to the constitution of Russia and subsequently issue a statement that Russia is no longer exists. Funny but it has no legal significance.

So are you saying that the dissolution of the Soviet Union was an illegal act and therefore it actually still exists?

In that case, presumably you believe that the declaration of sovereignty by a number of  the other republics of the Soviet Union e.g. Georgia was also illegal? Presumably you also believe that this can be used by Russia as a justification for any future invasions?

What if tomorrow France will say that it is a sovereign nation? Will this mean that it exists NATO? Obviously not.
So you can say that any country inside the USSR is independent. But you should also say that it is exiting the SU also and pass through the legal procedure according to the law 1409 to complete the exiting USSR.

Vlad said that Ukraine was given its independence on the condition of neutrality. The condition for the other republics is exactly the same. No neutrality means no independence. Therefore, you can easily find out which republics will become part of Russia after Ukraine and which will not.

None of that makes any sense whatsoever

That's the Beatles Theory - "Back in the USSR"

Well
The Ukraine girls really knock me out
They leave the West behind
And Moscow girls make me sing and shout
That Georgia's always on
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my, my mind
Oh, show me 'round your snow-peaked mountains
Way down south
Take me to your daddy's farm
Let me hear your balalaikas ringing out
Come and keep your comrade warm
I'm back In the U.S.S.R
You don't know how lucky you are, boy
Back in the U.S.S.R

Returning to the USSR is not at all easy. Fortunately, Vlad found a like-minded person. His new democracy consultant from Democratic Korea fully shares Vlad's dreams of the USSR. The most important indicator of a leader's democratic nature is the percentage of people who voted for him. According to this indicator, comrade Kim is the world leader (99.97% in the last elections). Such an impressive result was achieved thanks to the cult of an external enemy. Vlad learns from his new democracy consultant and skillfully uses the conflict in Ukraine and the cult of an external enemy to increase his electoral rating and the support rating of Vlad`s sweet Soviet dreams.

So why are you comparing Northern Ireland to seperatists in Donetsk and Luhansk, in a naked attempt to deflect? Why do you reference the "6 Counties", deliberately using provocative language that is normally employed by terrorist sympathisers. I think it was an attempt to inflame and provoke, and to avoid a "civil debate" by trying to define the War as some sort of "National Liberation Struggle", with the Russians framed as "Liberators", as you probably viewed them in East Germany, Hungary, and Czechoslavakia. Because in that sense, it fits your ideology, where you have repeatedly indicated this is all the fault of the West. Because West Bad, East Good. You are trying to intimate that Ukraine is an Imperialist Power, when it is Putin talking about evoking "Novorossiya"

What conscience did you have in 1979 when you walked past those Jewish protestors at Earls Court, to go look at the Soviet Propaganda Show? Back then, at least, you must have been a man of little conscience, given the world events of that time. When you decided, on this forum, and unprovoked, to draw attention to your attendance at the show, you deliberately chose a playful image showing Soviet fashoin models, to downplay the seriousness of that Regime.

Rigged deck.

This is how conscription in "democratic" and "sovereign" Ukraine looks like. It is so sad to see those people dragged out of the streets, kidnapped from their families and daily life. Really disgusting. Everything for ideology and to keep constant money inflow from other countries.

I don't see why you consider it a weird question. Do you unquestionably accept anything posted as fact irrespective of the source?

No, I'm not claiming that coercion isn't being used in order to get individuals to join the Ukrainian armed forces, I am saying that I don't know if exists i.e. I have an open mind on the issue. However, I'd require much more evidence from more reputable sources than 'Videos from Mariupol' before I was convinced.

"CyberLegion claims (..)"

Ukrainian pro-war groups are claiming a lot of weird stuff you know. Like for example around 3yrs ago ukrainian rocket hit the polish ground and killed 2 people. Within a minutes after Comedian claimed it was a russian attack and Poland should jump in "to action" against Russia. Many people want to drag Poland into this conflict (including political traitors in Poland - because we don't call them "polish politicians" anymore here) but we are more and more aware what is really going on.

Then good for you. Then yu probably already know the situation with Ukraine and Russia is not that "black/white" as media and some people here are claiming. This was just a simple compilation of videos recorded in Ukraine by UKRAINIAN people. I just came back from Ukraine, I've seen TCC (teritorial recruitment center) vehicles and "officers" hunting for people in the small town outside Kyiv with my own eyes. Nothing to doubt about in this case.

very good.

because these are times of war.

it's perfectly normal for people to be conscripted, it's a civic duty to defend one's country in times of war.

LOL ! I hope you posting from dirty trenches, under the russian fire, together with rats and dead bodies around. Otherwise you don't even know what you're talking about. No sane person wanna fight for your crooked, corrupted liars like beggar Zelensky with his companions and warmongering criminals from UK, EU and US.

Quarrelsome posts were removed. Please debate the topic politely. Thank you.

Ukraine attacks Poland with "under the fake flag" diversion again.

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c4gknv8nxlzo

After many previous attempts to drag us into their conflict (including sabotage, poisoning water, arsonies, threats in social medias, sending rocket which killed 2 polish people and then claiming it was Russian rocket etc.) this time Banderstate tried to derail polish train by blowing up railways. Luckily someone noticed missing piece of rails before train came and no one get hurt.

German/EU representative in Poland Donald Tusk (PM in Poland) claims two Ukrainians involved in this act were recruited by Russian inteligence. LOL:cheesy:

Ukraine (and everyone involved) is loosing the war.

Except for those making bank - they are all winning, winning, winning.....

In the meantime ...

Ukraine opens "school" under the name of genocidal beast, architect of mass murderers of 100 000 polish civilians (mostly children and infants) in Volhyn. Next generation of nazis/fascists gonna be produced there to support this rotten, corrupt, bloodsoaked and godforsaken piece of land.
