What a drag it is getting old....

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

If you are old enough to remember this tune, when it was first released, then .....

No doubt....

You might be thinking it's kind of a drag.

But, actually....DO YOU?

Personally, I do not think it's a drag.

And, I have my own reasons for believing this....and...

What might be yours?

One reason I love getting old is because.....

a.

b.

c.

As I get older, I realize I am far more full of wisdom than most Farangs I meet.

I cannot speak for Thai people I meet, of course.

Sometimes, I think, it might be a drag, since our senses become less sensitive.....

For example, the Wisteria do not smell as sweet.

And, what about Big Daddy?

I guess you recall the great play....

Cat On a Hot Tin Roof?

Such angst, from Big Daddy, as you will recall.

Just wondering if you feel it's a drag

Best regards,

Gamma

Please Note:  Do not get me started on CATS, because, at this very moment, there are plenty of cats yowling and howling, just outside my Chamber Door.....

Kinda recall my parents listening to the rollling stones.

Ok, GG, you seem to be getting 1 confused with 3. How many fingers am I holding up?

IMO getting old beats the alternative, as long as there is still quality of life.

I knew you were very young.

But, I had NO IDEA you were THAT young.

Heave Help you.....

You do not have much to look forward to....

OBVIOUSLY....

Note: I should probably BLOCK YOU, just for being wet behind the ears, but I would never do this....

I would not block you without a reason.

If you were to provide me with a valid reason....then....

I MIGHT consider blocking you.

However, are you capable of coming up with a valid reason....

All by yourself?

You can seem like the Ms Havisham of Asean Now sitting back in the 1960's and 70's. But that's OK.

As an aside I can recommend a Youtube channel called Yesterdays Papers that goes month by month through British 60's music - so far 65 to 68 I think -  discusses  the popular and not so popular bands and releases, with reviews of the time,  and  other aspects such as talk of the backing musicians that played for many bands back then such as Beck, Page, and Clapton. Sounds boring but not.

Do you really think this might be of value to me....???

I already lived through it once.....

And, now.....

You want me to do the entire experience over again?

I think not.

The context and what else was happening is well done which I don't know much about as I was a baby and you may not know as many British songs discussed did not make it in the States - even big hits.
