Friend flying in from Australia for work on his teeth. Replacing fallen/broken teeth. I suspect he'll need those screw in type. Can somone recommend any professional clinics. 

I've heard clinics exist that would put Aussie ones to shame. 

Any idea on pricing and turnaround, ball park would be fine.

Appreciate any suggestions.

First see the attached thread. Older thread however has some posts from @Sheryl always to be noted. 

 

Personally I recommend Dr Sunil clinic. 

Sent several people there with excellent results. 

Some points to note: 

Wasting time unless you can narrow location. Bangkok OR Phuket. 

 

Regards price.. While some may see it as a waste of money I often suggest obtain a ball park figure in Oz. 

For example if that (extensive work) comes out at eg $20k aud then a price of 8-10k here might sound like a bargin. 

Be aware that the Clinics in Thailand in the main are designed for quickest possible turnaround. 

The is for the benefit of the patient. 

 

You dont come to place like Thailand/Vietnam to kick tyres. 

A comprehensive price is given (generally) on the spot. 

My style would normally be... 

"Thank you I will think about it"...

Personally I came to Thailand with firm price of cost in Oz. 

I knew a dental surgeon and was receiving " Mates Rates" at approx 25k aud. 

So first ever trip to Bangkok straight off to clinic. 

Step 1. Before dentist even looks at your teeth a full XRay of teeth is taken. 

Minutes later examination by Dr Sunil. 

While still in the chair a hand written list of procedure and itemized costs with variations due to options selected. 

While under no pressure for a yes/no the best idea is to be well prepared for what you want. 

I just said... Lock it in Doc.... 

Rest is history. Best 10k I ever spent. 

 

Please clarify if your friend is looking for implants as opposed to crowns (for which some of the tooth must still remain in situ) or a bridge?

 

Implants are pretty exoensive in Thailabd and also requirr a good deal of time. 

Can read a bit more about it here, I will check it out when I coming back. Just Had it done one side in Korat, and … I can use another one next time
