What you get on social media was formerly called "gossip". Before, "gossip" was exchanged between housewifes in the stairway. Today, we exchange gossip by way of global internet. Today, the "news" are mostly "clickbites".

It's not news that turn the world today but a barrage of "pseudo-news" that influences the minds of people. With predictable results eventually.
