If that's for a yearly renewal only (another year extension with them banking the money for you) it's hardly a bargain any way you slice it 😉 

 

That's close to double what Pattaya agents charge for a year extension

I agree but the person who told me about it has a business here (in his wife's name) and means he does not have to travel to Pattaya, or pay for hotels etc. I also met 2 young women tourists who wanted a months extension, same 2,300 baht.

It will get added to all pensions, unless you opt out, but if you don't qualify, HMRC will deduct it in tax.  Be warned, if you don't qualify for the WFA and you don't opt out, the tax man may well hit you with more than you get paid in the benefit, especially if you pay any tax at the marginal higher rate on any other income.  You can read on all about it on the UK Gov website.
