Israel renounces annexation of West Bank

Featured Replies

According to The Washington Post, Israel, under threats from the United Arab Emirates, recently abandoned its plans to annex the West Bank.

This decision comes after the Emirates clearly warned that any attempt to annex part of this territory would constitute a “red line” likely to jeopardize the Abraham Accords, signed in 2020 and considered a historic breakthrough in normalization between Israel and several Arab countries.

An annexation of the West Bank would undoubtedly have shattered Israel’s relations with the Emirates and other Gulf countries, threatening the stability of the region.

What saddens me is that prolific posters here think settlements are OK.

Do you think Israeli settlers have the right to take Palestinians land?

They should buy the land off the Palestinians .

You turn to answer a question now :

Should Australians have the right to live on Aborigines land or should all non Aborigine people be forced to leave Australia ?

So you say , “no”, they don’t have the right to “take” the land, as they’ve been doing, please clarify.

I did answer the question .

I then asked a question back  , which is on the subject of settlers living on other peoples land .

What do you think Jeff , should Australians get off Aborigine land and go back to where they came from ?

I've no idea, I'll get me Didgeridoo out and ask them, when I get an answer I'll let you know.

They won't be able to afford it unless the Israeli's like Monte Carlo prices.

What would be extremely funny, Israeli's buy Palestinian land at highly inflated prices and then they have to live in a Palestinian State, loads of mini Israel's.

Another pivotal moment in Aseannow forum history. Zionist admits settlers are stealing Palestinian land.

They would become Palestinian citizens , form a political party themselves .

Could even form a Palestine Government ?

Do you accept Israel's right to exist ?

Do you accept Israel's right to exist ?

Very simple answer, YES, as long as they comply with all International Laws.

Can you agree to that?

So, any Country that breaks an International law loses its right to exist ?

So, Palestine has no right to exist due to them breaking international laws ?

Democracy is a wonderful thing isn't it?

Of course I don’t - not now under the occupation, blockades, and ongoing land theft(that you've admitted to) of Palestinians. To talk about Israel’s “right to exist” while millions live under siege and without basic freedoms is to ignore the reality on the ground. A state cannot claim legitimacy while systematically denying another people their right to live freely on their own land. Until equality is  guaranteed for Palestinians, stolen land given back, I cannot accept Israel's right to exist. I do, however, want the Jewish people to live in peace, in the area they were given pre 1967. It’s political not personal or religious.

Couldn't answer the question again, so asks another in reply.

So you recognise Israel's right to exist within the pre 1967 borders?

Its quite obvious that I accept Israel's right to exist unconditionally .

OK , I'll spell it out  : No, I don't think that Israel's right to exist should have conditions

   So...............

So, any Country that breaks an International law loses its right to exist ?

So, Palestine has no right to exist due to them breaking international laws ?

No, they should be sanctioned by the International community, in the case of Palestine, they are not a Country as yet because of Israel's conduct with the help of the USA, so it is a moot point.

Israel does exist and is breaking International laws so by your rational they have no right to exist.
