A 10-month-old boy was seriously injured on 14 September 2025 after falling from a three-storey building under construction in Soi Suksawat 37/3, Bang Phu, Phra Pradaeng, Samut Prakan. Emergency responders from the Por Teck Tung Foundation and Bang Chak Hospital were called to the scene at around 15:00 to provide immediate assistance. The child suffered a large and serious swelling on the left side of his head and abrasions on his right arm and torso.

The building had been worked on for about a week by the family of workers. At the time of the incident, the child’s mother, 28-year-old Ms. Ngoy, father, 32-year-old Mr. Sun and uncle were working on the second floor, while the grandmother was on the third floor caring for the infant. The grandmother had briefly left the child on a mattress to fetch water and clothes and upon returning, discovered he was missing, prompting a search that led to finding him on a pile of construction materials on the ground floor.

Medics administered first aid on-site before transporting the boy to Bang Chak Hospital for further treatment. Authorities noted that the fall appeared to have occurred while the child was crawling and playing unsupervised for a short period. The incident highlights the potential dangers for young children at active construction sites, particularly where family members live and work in close proximity to ongoing work.

The mother, Ms. Ngoy, confirmed that the family had recently started work at the construction site and that the incident occurred while the parents and uncle were on the second floor. The grandmother’s momentary absence allowed the infant to fall from the third floor, resulting in injuries. Emergency responders emphasised the importance of constant supervision and secure barriers in multi-storey building sites.

Authorities continue to monitor the child’s condition at hospital and will investigate safety measures at the site to prevent similar incidents. There are no immediate reports of legal action, but local safety inspectors may review the site protocols. Family members and officials are cooperating to ensure the child receives full medical care and support during recovery.

Thai safety     What the hell was a baby doing at a construction site are they Nuts !!!!

The grandmother should have been left home or in a room with the infant. Besides that, she shouldn´t have been left taking care of the baby at all with such stupidity. You do not leave 10-month babies on the floor walking out of sight. Lastly, the parents should have known better than to take the baby to such place. Soo many wrongs, and a new little life had to suffer.
