Non O Single entry

Featured Replies

Hi All,

situation; I have been on a Non O Marriage extension (got my origional in Laos in 2020) and have been extending it for 4 years. Last year I had some issue with my job, and we ate through our 400k. I lost my Non-O and was forced to do 60 days border bounces with a 60 day extension. The immigration guy said this is the last time he is going to give me an extension and I need to get back on my marriage visa.

I have been looking at going to Laos or Maleysia, but saw everything has changed since the last time. From what I understand (and please correct me if im wrong) is that;
Ill need to outside of Thailand to get a Non-O (does this have to be my country of nationality)?
I need to make an appointment online in the country where I want to apply, and upload documents.
My wife doesn't need to come
And then I need to wait in that country (can be anywhere from a few days to weeks) before I get my Non O single entry.
Also im reading mixed comments in regards to the 400k rule. In the past I never had to show money proof when applying for the origional Non O, I only had to show it when doing the yearly inside of Thailand.

Can someone please comfirm is this is true? Seems like a huge hassle

First up, to be honest your post comes over as a generated thing given punctuation.

In any event to answer this part of your post... You can obtain Non O eVisa anywhere on eVisa platform

If in Thailand currently then Laos is popular option

Edit: just now check your last thread.

Zero contribution from you.

You can get a non-O inside of Thailand, if your immigration processes those conversions. You would need to check with them and ask for their list of requirements. You would also need sufficient time on your current stay (15-21 days remaining).

Why would you need to make an appointment to submit an online application? You enter the country and then apply online through the e-visa website.  If you go to Laos you must show up in person to pay between 9-11AM.  Other countries accept payment online.

Your wife does not need to be with you.

You must remain in the country until your visa is processed.  Processing time varies by embassy.

You must provide proof of finances, as has been standardizes across all embassies now that e-visa is at all embassies.

If you want to avoid the hassle of a Non-O trip to Laos, while Immigration won't extend your next 60-day visa-exempt entry, you haven't mentioned whether you can obtain additional 60-day exemptions from a visa run.

If you're still in Phuket, just do border runs to Malaysia every 60 days.

There's no need to poke Immigration for extensions. I've been doing this for over a year now.

Just pay for a visa run service.

@gregk0543 usually find lot of blogs posted in threads bit so so.

This one not so.

Found his walk through guide to filling in the eVisa application really clear and helpful.

Actually might check out his other vids

Thats funny seems my post got removed. Don't know why you try to help someone and it disappears without even a reason given.
