  • As pointed out in first reply. TM30 is required. .  Surprised you weren't just sent away go obtain a tm30.  You had lucky break

  • Remember in Bangkok to get a 30 day extension on a 60 day free stamp (visa exempt) entry you do NOT go to the main immigration office at Chaengwattana in the government complex  Instead you go

  • That's why I asked.  For extenion from visa exempt entry you will attend IT Mall Lak Si.

Two weeks in advance should be fine.

As usual it depends on office.

Some offices send you away and advise to extend closer to expiry.

You will require a tm30 for immigration office.

Depending on location you can also opt to use agent

Since when was a TM30 needed for a 30 day extension in Bangkok? 🤔

It's 50/50 if you'll be asked in Bangkok.  But if you don't bring it, that'll be the time they ask.  So better to be prepared.

Not IME. Extended 4 times during 2024 / 2025, most recently 3 months ago. Never been asked once.

And this is which immigration office?

Actually not really interested. Fact is folk need reliable advice and the advice on this matter is to obtain print out of your TM30 to provide for 30 day extension.

Can produce zillion posts on sent away due to no TM30

TM30 doesn't show up on the immigration computee system for a few days or a week.

Last time I came to Thailand on a 60 days visaexempt, I went to the immigration office to report my adress. They then aksed me if I to extend my 60 days with an extra 30 days since I was at the imm.office already!! Lol! Sure I wanted and left with 90 days! That is what I call service!! This was Korat immigration, which I have used for 15 years now. They are the best!!🤩🤩đŸĨŗ

In Hua  Hin Immigration declined my application for a 30 day extension until I got a TM 30 . This was August 2025

This is standard.

Suggest folk disregard posts saying that a TM30 was  not require.

Those guys just caught a lucky break.

If attending immigration for a 30 day extension you would take a print out of the TM30.

They also have it on their system.

You tell them. I know in Chiang Mai and patio they won't let you in the door without seeing one. Then they charge you a small fee for doing it for you and make you sit there and wait for 2 hours

I don't need to see an example I can print off somebody's in 2 seconds online.

What about Jomtien? I’ve heard that they tell you to come back at a later date if you try to apply too early.

My permission to stay ends on the 15th this month.
When would be the earliest I can apply for a 30-day extension there?

It's pot luck with that office.

You can go for 30 day extension with two weeks prior to expiry and they send you away tell you to apply later.

Mixed reports.

In your shoes I would apply with a week remaining on stamp.

Have a TM30.

Thank you very much! I’ll go mid next week then.

Where do I download the TM30? I did it online and it is approved but don't see a download link.
