Why are people so nasty on here?

Again, it isn't stalking unless you go to a person's profile and follow them around. Coming into the same tpic you're in, and calling you out on foolish things you say isn't stalking . Then keeping it going with assumptions isn't helping the topic but diverting it away. This is your topic, and you're acting the same as you're question why.

Stalking is 50%+ of your posts about 1 person for weeks. Three have done it. All declined to meet at Xmas party. Very strange behaviour.

This is Thai forum. Not 1 of them discusses Thailand ever.

They are not nasty, they are simply Americans.

  • Likely they are fed up with the non stop trollish threads by the same  group of forum members.

#NAILEDIT - But then again, there isn't ever any meaning or truth to anything she writes. It's only trolling intended to trigger. But also very easily ignored.

Most on here have never seen more than 10% of Thailand. I did surveys before. I collected the facts. No assumptions.

That's why I ask questions. Short Timer wanted to talk about toilet paper. That's his level.

What you just said is an assumption. No matter what anyone says here, you still aren't with them 24/, which means you can't honestly make any judgements about them.

I know you have not been to many cities. I don't need to sit beside you and hold your hand. I knew you never went to CM even before asking. People are not hard to read.

I've never stalked anyone. If I come into a topic and I comment on their insanity, that's calling them out because I noticed it, just as everyone else does here. Again, not meeting at a Christmas party means nothing. It's their choice and they have reasons why.

Come to Udon.

No thanks. Peasant capital of the world. Boring AF too. Perfect place for you though.

Have you ever met me? Do you live in my life? Do you see where I go daily or where I've been the last 7+ years? No, so you're again, assuming. And my not going to any cities means nothing, as that's my choice and going to many cities doesn't make you anything besides a traveler, of which there are billions. Going only by what people say on an online forum is again, a fraction of their lives. Think.

I know you don't. I never said you did. You talk about life. That's your choice.

Are you saying people lie about what they do? I see lots of farangs and Thais doing very little.

People lie, exaggerate and tell the truth, but you only know the difference if you have evidence to prove otherwise. Seeing a few foreigners lying around swilling beer in a bar is just a tiny fraction of a percent of those that live here. Of course tourists come here mainly to get laid and drink, but that's not the residents that have families and houses.

Is it really? Shower, toilet, food, watch tv, internet, maybe work. Maybe gym or walk. The average person does not do anything special.

Tiny fraction? Most farangs live in western areas full of bars. Likely 60% are into bars and stuff like that. Bueng Kan has like 5 farangs tops.

That's their decision, and if it suits them, that's fine, as they aren't hurting anyone. One's man's pleasure is another man's pain. To each their own. All the foreigners here are still a tiny minority, so we should help each other. Adding to the hard life someone might have isn't helping, as we're all outsiders here, although some might think otherwise.

We are not even in the top three, which are Americans, Britons and Germans in that order.

When I met my ex in Bueng Kan, I saw at least a dozen foreigners, and I was only there for a month, besides the week we spent in Kanchanaburi, so I only got to see a fraction. No one knows how many foreigners there are unless they're all called together in a meeting, which doesn't happen. Almost every time I go to Lotus here I see a new foreigner I never saw before, as it's the only one for many miles around. You can't be everywhere at once, so you only see a fraction.

That foreigners gravitate to what local bars there are shows how bored many are here, especially in the country areas. Bangkok has thousands but it's huge and spread out, and some just like the cities , especially if they're single, just like all other major cities. Those that live in the country are usually married, or in my case, divorced and still living in the house they built until they can leave.

12 in a month could be visitors as well. Ive never seen more than 5 in a week. The gym there is maybe the best in Thailand. Huge.

The extent to which "America-bashing" is tolerated on this forum says it all. I would never paint a Brit or other European with such a broad brush.

You have just answered your own question - or perhaps to be more accurate, given an illustration of the phenomenon you suggested for discussion!

Where is this gym?

What area?

Most foreigners don't just visit Isaan. Most live there, although some that are married go back and forth to their country until retired, then move here. And when you're in a city, you're only in the place you're in, and not in the other 99+% of the city, so you can't know what's out there.

Bueng Kan. Best gym I've seen in Thailand. Perfect Fitness 77 is the name.

There's at least 3 gyms in Bueng Kan, which is in the far northeast corner of Thailand, across the Mekong from Laos.

No they dont so your whole premise is wrong.  I dont believe you live here. I believe you sit at a keyboard and google up Thai facts all day long as you have nothing better to do. For months on end you have tried to create controversy so you could have something to do. Well it has not worked. People are literally laughing at you.

Euros are the main america bashers. Go thru the forum since late last year and see how much suffering that trump has caused them

Have you ever been to Bueng Kan? I bet 1m baht no. You sit in a condo and whinge. Sad. Go outside and do something.

The same can be said of the Brit- and Aussie-bashing that’s rife on this forum - little more than the product of people who can’t resist sweeping generalisations.

That said, it does become extremely tiresome to see US politics - and Trump in particular - dragged into so many unrelated threads. It naturally breeds a degree of irritation towards posters from the USA. Of course, it isn’t all of you who feel compelled to shoehorn politics into everything, but the unfortunate truth is that those from the USA as a whole end up carrying the communal repetitional can for those who do - just as we Brits shoulder the ‘reputational can’ for the chavs and fools who repeatedly land themselves in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
