TM30 and visa extension

Featured Replies

Apologies if this has been covered before. My marriage extension has been done upcountry as I have a house and land with my Thai wife in Isaan. I have to move to Bangkok temporarily for work. Will my building owner in Bangkok organise the TM30 themselves and my 90 day reports still be done by me upcountry? I assume this is the case but just wanted to clarify.

Have you asked the condo owner in Bangkok if he intends to file a tm30.

In your situation I would continue with 90 reports to immigration in using existing address in Isaan.

Also not bother with TM30.

You stated temporarily for moved to Bangkok.

How long?

When next extension is due you should apply at Isaan for extension.

Does your office do home visits?

Not sure how long, could be 12 months. No home visits...yet. Thanks for advice.

90 day reports, extensions, must be filed within the Province where you filed your address using a TM30.

If the building owner files a TM30, then extensions and 90 day reports will have to be filed at CW.

You want to avoid doing 90 reports etc at address for Bangkok.

If indeed the owner in Bangkok does a TM30 (try to avoid that) then prior to next extension do a TM30 for Isaan office (most likely not required)

Obtain your extension in your Isaan immigration office.
