Showing no purchases etc Just the amount Provided you provide a 3 month bank statement that would be fine. Bank book alone would not show activity/update. Added safety would be to make token deposit each month (100b) A dedicated account for immigration makes sense for retirement. Not so important for marriage. Which immigration office
September 22, 2025Sep 22 Provided those 400K funds are in an account type that is immediately accessible, it's accepted. I've used a Fixed Term Deposit account for Immigration purposes for the previous 11 extensions based on Thai spouse.

I would suggest for extension marriage maintaining a FD of 400k for 12 months while is an option, many would opt for 400k seasoned for 2 months. Sweet deal. The funds can then be used to live off for few (couple) of months

Sweet deal. The funds can then be used to live off for few (couple) of months I initially used the 800K in the bank method for extensions based on retirement. When I married, I withdrew 200K, leaving 600K + accrued interest. It serves two purposes for me; 1. Meeting the financial requirement for Immigration. 2. My wife is a co-signature to the account, and the account is named in my Thai Will as part of her inheritance should I die.
