A birthday celebration in Samut Prakan turned deadly early on 25 September 2025, when a man was shot and killed during an argument. Police from Bang Pu station responded at around 05.30 after reports of gunfire inside a housing estate in Praeksa Mai, Mueang district. Officers discovered the victim, identified only as Mr A , 30 years old, lying dead from a gunshot wound to the head.

 

Investigations revealed that the incident took place during a birthday gathering for the suspect, Mr Wachirawit, 26, whose surname has been withheld. During the party, the victim reportedly brought up past issues that triggered anger. He allegedly drew a 9mm handgun to threaten others, but was restrained by friends at the scene.

 

According to police, Mr Wachirawit then left the gathering and went inside his house. He returned moments later armed with a gun and shot the victim in the head, killing him instantly before fleeing the scene. Witnesses confirmed that the shooting followed shortly after the heated exchange and confrontation.

 

Police are continuing to investigate the chain of events and are gathering further witness statements. The case has drawn attention locally, given the sudden escalation from a private celebration to a fatal crime.

 

Authorities from Bang Pu Police Station confirmed that efforts are under way to locate and arrest the suspect. They have stated that Mr Wachirawit will face charges under the law once apprehended. The body of the deceased was sent for further examination as part of the ongoing investigation.
