Why NO ONE should rely on RFK Jr. for medical advice!

Listen to the man. This is likely the first and only truthful thing he's said on public health matters in ages!

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Says People Shouldn’t Take ‘Medical Advice From Me’

Screenshot_23.jpg.5d90bc4c956f10067eb34ac6d2665e3f.jpg

May 14, 2025

"Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told a House Appropriations Committee hearing on Wednesday that Americans should not be taking his medical advice.

Kennedy, who was being grilled by lawmakers about his stance on vaccines, was asked if he would vaccinate his own children today against diseases such as measles, chickenpox and polio.

"My opinions about vaccines are irrelevant," Kennedy said. "I don't think people should be taking advice, medical advice from me. I don't want to give advice."

So RFK Jr.  Then do one of two possibly honorable things:

1. Let the professionals in the CDC, FDA and others do the jobs, and provide the expertise, that they ARE qualified and paid to provide. And be guided by their expertise -- which you've shown absolutely no sign of doing since your arrival.

or

2. Get the **** out! Which many many people in the health field are increasingly calling for, including your own family members...

Typical loopy, dangerous, nonsense behavior from the anti-vaxer world:

"Since 2005, Kennedy has promoted vaccine misinformation[1] and public-health conspiracy theories,[2] including the chemtrail conspiracy theory,[3] HIV/AIDS denialism,[4] and the scientifically disproved claim of a causal link between vaccines and autism.[5] He has drawn criticism for fueling vaccine hesitancy amid a social climate that gave rise to the deadly measles outbreaks in Samoa and Tonga."

Sadly, he's inspired a lot of the kinds of nonsense threads by often anonymous and regular misinformation peddling sources that are the typical basis for threads in this subforum.

RFK Jr. and AIDS/HIV misinformation and denialism, per the New York Times:

He has rejected established science showing H.I.V. causes AIDS.

"Despite firm scientific evidence that H.I.V. infections cause AIDS — some of which was recognized with the Nobel Prize in 2008 — Mr. Kennedy has repeatedly questioned the link.

“There are much better candidates than H.I.V. for what causes AIDS,” he told a New York Magazine reporter in June 2023. He has suggested that possible causes of AIDS include environmental toxins and “poppers,” an inhaled drug and immunosuppressant popularized by gay men during the 1970s.

But studies have looked at whether factors like drug use, sexual behavior and bacterial infections were associated with AIDS. They have all come to the clear conclusion that “the only common denominator” was H.I.V., according to the National Institutes of Health.

AND

"In viral posts decrying RFK Jr.'s impending leadership role, LGBTQ+ activists often cite how Kennedy has said that HIV doesn't cause AIDS (it does). That chemicals in the water cause children to be transgender (they do not). That there should be a ban on transgender health care for minors (despite major medical association support).

...

"in the 1980s, the medical and scientific community made a breakthrough: discovering that HIV caused AIDS. Yet that's a fact that's come under the microscope recently, in part thanks to Kennedy, who has repeatedly made false claims that a recreational drug popular among the gay community, "poppers" (amyl nitrite), was the culprit. Former Trump surgeon general says RFK Jr. must go

Sep. 15, 2025

"Jerome Adams, who served as U.S. surgeon general during the first Trump administration, said that Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s time as HHS secretary "has been a failure" and he should leave the agency.

Speaking in an interview with STAT News, Adams cited RFK Jr.'s delayed response to the August shooting at the CDC's Atlanta campus, the loss of confidence towards him from HHS and related agency employees, and repeated lying.

"Well, he lied to Congress," Adams told the outlet. "It's actually very clear now — if you take the statements that he made during his confirmation hearing, and the things that he's done since then, and then his explanations for them in his most recent hearing — there’s only one of two conclusions you could come to. He’s either a bald-faced liar, or he's incredibly incompetent and doesn't understand what he's talking about."

‘RFK Jr is a disaster’: Staff describe chaos in ‘anti-science’ regime

Officials in US health agencies fear ‘people will get sick’ as programmes are slashed and scientists are fired under the constant surveillance of Doge

Every single soundbite I’ve heard from him has contained either blatant misinformation or outright lies.

Free speech is vital – no question about that. But there’s a difference between expressing an opinion and spreading demonstrably false information that endangers public health. In the context of these discussions, what RFK Jr presents isn’t “alternative insight” or “healthy scepticism”; it’s ignorance at best and deliberate deception at worst.

His repeated misuse of data, distortion of scientific studies, and reliance on long-debunked conspiracy theories reveal a complete inability – or unwillingness – to engage with evidence. For someone positioning himself as a public health commentator, that’s not just irresponsible, it’s dangerous.

Given the scale and potential harm of the falsehoods he promotes – from unfounded claims linking vaccines to autism, to suggesting mRNA vaccines alter DNA (a claim thoroughly disproven by molecular biologists) – one could argue his conduct veers into what should legally qualify as criminal misinformation.

His 'full speaches' contain cherry-picked misinformation and half truths designed deliberately to mislead - when someone deliberately misrepresents factual information its not only dishonest - its criminal and there is only one conclusion to be drawn.

Examples at hand:

RFK Jr. has been criticised for selectively citing a small cohort study to support claims about vaccine-related childhood injuries, while disregarding larger studies with contradictory findings.

In August 2025, RFK Jr., then U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, called for the retraction of a large Danish study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine. This study analysed health records of over 1.2 million children over two decades and found no link between aluminium in vaccines and autoimmune, allergic, or neurodevelopmental disorders.

https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/medical-journal-rejects-kennedys-call-for-retraction-vaccine-study-2025-08-11

RFK Jr. criticized the study's methodology and accused its authors of bias, but the journal's editor-in-chief and the study's lead author defended its validity.

https://www.livescience.com/health/medicine-drugs/prominent-medical-journal-refuses-rfks-call-to-retract-a-vaccine-study

In contrast, RFK Jr. has frequently cited smaller studies with fewer than 1,000 participants that suggest potential harms of vaccines. For instance, he has referenced a study from the 1990s that reported a higher rate of adverse events in a small group of children receiving the DTP vaccine. However, larger, more rigorous studies have failed to replicate these findings, and the original study's small sample size and methodological limitations have been widely acknowledged.

https://www.factcheck.org/2025/09/rfk-jr-cherry-picks-and-misuses-data-on-aluminum-containing-vaccines

This selective use of data has raised concerns among public health experts. Dr. Christine Laine, editor-in-chief of the Annals of Internal Medicine, emphasised the importance of large-scale studies in providing reliable evidence, stating that "the strength of evidence increases with the size and quality of the study"

https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/medical-journal-rejects-kennedys-call-for-retraction-vaccine-study-2025-08-11

In summary, RFK Jr.'s approach of highlighting small, potentially flawed studies while dismissing large, well-conducted research undermines the scientific consensus on vaccine safety. Public health decisions should be based on the best available evidence, which overwhelmingly supports the safety and efficacy of vaccines - and he does this repeatedly - there are so many examples all on public record where simple fact checks can be carried out which highlight his statements as anything from outright lies to deliberate misinformation.

I welcome the fact that the health industry is undergoing review, this is the very basis of science - but lets have someone honest, independent and scientifically knowledgable in the first place to lead these investigations.

Science thrives on scrutiny and continual reassessment, but the integrity of that process depends entirely on the independence and expertise of those leading it. If investigations are guided by individuals with clear biases, conflicts of interest, or insufficient scientific grounding, the outcomes risk being misleading rather than illuminating (and thats from 'both sides')

An honest, independent, and scientifically literate investigator would:

- Base conclusions on the full body of evidence, weighing large, rigorous studies more heavily than small, isolated ones.

- Be transparent about methodology, limitations, and uncertainties.

- Avoid cherry-picking data to fit a preexisting narrative.

- Foster peer review and open discourse, inviting constructive critique from the broader scientific community.

That’s how science self-corrects - through evidence-driven investigation, not ideology-driven advocacy.

And no... I haven't made up my own mind - because I am not carrying out the research personally - I trust the information presented.

In much the same manner I cannot make up my own mind that the earth is an oblate spheroid - yet I trust the information presented that it is.

My mind has been 'made up' by trusted medical professionals, not from one country, but worldwide.

I place trust in medical professionals and reviewed data and the scientific process - I do not place trust in information based on fear and misinformation, partial information or outright lies or by fools who misunderstand what they are reading, remove context and regurgitate to support their own bias.

Indeed - It would take an overwhelming amount of work, extracting facts from journals and studies he has misrepresented and outright lied about to cover every single one of his fabrications.

I believe in free-speach, but with that comes responsibility, and with this responsibility comes and obligation to be honest.

RFK Jr. has not only proven to state outright lies on multiple occasions, so overwhelming is the extent to which he fabricates information he should be removed of all responsibility for his position.

This position requires integrity, independence, honesty, no-bias and the single goal of maintaining public health...

It doesn't require a hypocrite:

Example: RFK Jr. has been criticised for endorsing a company that provides meals he previously described as unhealthy. In July 2025, as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, he praised Mom’s Meals, a food delivery service offering $7 meals to Medicaid and Medicare recipients, claiming they were “without additives” and a solution to America's health issues.

However, an Associated Press investigation revealed that the meals are ultraprocessed, containing chemical additives, high levels of sodium, sugar, and saturated fats, which contradicts RFK Jr.'s previous stance against such foods.

Was RFK Jr getting paid by 'Moms Meals' ????   :whistling:

Every single angle from which we take a look at this guy we see dishonesty, manipulation, miss-information, lies....

To be honest, this is one of the easiest debates to run in this sub-forum.

All we need to do is take any passage of his speech and fact-check it. The frequency of falsehoods and misinformation is staggering.

This isn’t about “taking things out of context” or “missing key words”... Even when we review the full speech in its entirety, the lies and distortions are obvious. Every claim can be scrutinised and cross-referenced with peer-reviewed studies, government health data, and decades of scientific literature - and still, the number of inaccuracies is overwhelming.

The real challenge is the utter sisyphean futility in engaging such debate, the sheer volume and complexity of his fabrications. Correcting each false claim takes time: you have to quote accurately, provide sources, and summarise the true scientific consensus. Anti-vaxxers, by contrast, can repeat claims instantly - often copied from fringe websites or social media - because their “evidence” doesn’t need to hold up to scrutiny. It’s far quicker to propagate a falsehood than it is to dig through decades of vaccine research, epidemiological data, and clinical trials to provide a factual counterpoint.

This gives anti-vaxxers a tactical advantage in conversation, even though their claims are baseless. They can lean on someone in a position of influence - like RFK Jr - whose statements are not only scientifically inaccurate but actively dangerous to public health. From a global perspective, the consequences are severe: widespread vaccine hesitancy fuelled by misinformation directly undermines efforts to control preventable diseases like measles, polio, and Covid-19, putting millions at risk.

And more than that -- now clear evidence that Kennedy's supposed Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) platform is largely a political farce, at least when it comes to both pesticides and tobacco. Trump and Kennedy, including the U.S. FDA that he now oversees, are simply beholden to big money Republican dominated industry groups and their campaign dollars:

PESTICIDES:

MAHA Commission Succumbs to Pesticide Industry Pressure

Draft Report Walks Back Administration’s Promises of Bold Action on Pesticides

August 15, 2025

"WASHINGTON— A much-anticipated draft action plan from the Make America Healthy Again Commission eliminated any plans for action on pesticides. This report is the follow up to the commission’s May MAHA report, which included pesticides and specifically named both glyphosate and atrazine.

The threat of any new restrictions being placed on the use of dangerous pesticides spurred a massive and successful lobbying effort by the chemical industry and commodity growers’ groups, alongside their friends in Congress and the EPA, to force the commission to back off. Instead of action, the recommendations direct the EPA and Big Ag to work together to convince the public to have confidence in pesticide review processes, which are broadly criticized for scientific inadequacy and excessive industry influence. It also encourages research into new pesticide application technologies."

AND ON TOBACCO:

FDA Authorizes Highly Addictive Juul, Responsible for Youth Vaping Epidemic

July 17, 2025

Today, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced that it authorized the marketing application for Juul menthol and tobacco flavored e-cigarettes. The American Lung Association’s President and CEO Harold Wimmer issued the following statement in response to the FDA’s announcement:

“The American Lung Association is deeply troubled that FDA will permit Juul to remain on the market in the U.S. and is especially concerned to learn that Juul’s menthol flavor will continue being sold. These products have never met the Tobacco Control Act’s public health standard, and today’s decision risks further harm to youth.

“Juul hooked a generation of kids on tobacco through flavored products, youth-targeted marketing and high-levels of nicotine, and remains popular today. Juul has already agreed to pay more than $1 billion in settlements for its role in addicting a generation of kids. Ending the sale of Juul and all flavored e-cigarette products, including menthol, is the clear path to ending youth vaping for good.

“The Lung Association stands firmly with the science: no flavored tobacco products are appropriate for the protection of public health, and all should be removed. We urge FDA to reconsider its decision, and for state and local governments to act to end the sale of all flavored tobacco products, including all menthol cigarettes and e-cigarettes.”

https://www.lung.org/media/press-releases/fy26-juul-fda-statement

AND

Backsliding against big tobacco

"You might remember Juul as THE vape product a few years ago—until it was banned by the FDA in 2022 for “unlawful and deceptive marketing practices.” Well, they’re back.  Here’s a refresher on why Juul was banned. The legal age to buy and use a nicotine vape is 21 years old in the United States. This is to prevent nicotine addiction early in life, and because nicotine can be harmful to still-developing adolescent brains.

Yet in July, the FDA [under Kennedy] authorized Juul’s return to the market with Virginia tobacco and menthol flavor pods with 3% and 5% nicotine. This move was immediately opposed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Heart Association, and American Lung Association— it’s seen as a reversal of years of progress in protecting young people from nicotine vapes.

Many see Juul’s return as a sign of the new administration’s tobacco-friendlier ways (the tobacco company Reynolds American was the largest corporate donor to the Trump campaign fund) and it happened at the same time as the CDC’s Office of Tobacco and Health [also under Kennedy] was dismantled." [emphasis added, and explainer than both the CDC and FDA are now controlled by Kennedy]

All this nonsense attacking Kennedy, is nothing to do with science. Nothing to do with health. Nothing to do with saving children. It is all about the $$$$$$$.

The dollar took over from nature in the early 1900s. Big money arrived to dominate every aspect of health. It is very firmly entrench in the west. Just as bad now, as at any time since those days.

The $$$$$ holds the 'germ theory' together. When money is more important than health we have to realise we are on the slippery slope.

Kennedy might be the man, but so many of the white-coats who have their snouts in the $$$ trough, will say anything to stop him saving the next generations of American kids; and protect their own lifestyles.

I was naive once to think that becoming a health professional was a calling. How wrong I was. Greed!

Both Trump and RFK Jr suffer from the same debilitating disease.

Selective deafness and selective blindness.

Like stupidity, there is no known medical cure.

During his Senate confirmation hearing on January 29, 2025,

Kennedy stated: “All of my kids are vaccinated, and I believe vaccines play a critical role in health care.”

So, YOUR kids must die while his kids live.
