Dear Folks,

Anyone know how Noam is doing these days?

So many people love him, round the world.

Noam is one human who I wish could live for 200 years.....

I am sure I am one of many, many.....

Here, we see Noam full of life and vigor, the way he should always be remembered.

Noam is already missed.

Don't you think?

Best regards,

GammaRays

Note:  All thinking individuals love Noam.  This is a given.  Just google it.

Note2:  Chompsky wiped the floor with Buckley Jr.....

Noam was at the top of his game here......

These days, Chomsky can't talk.....

How can it be that a Linguist cannot talk, anyway?

Is this the Will of God?

Sadly, Noam is living in Brazil with his wife and is no longer making statements on any form of media. This guy is loved by millions, including Brazil's Prime Minister.

Noam Chomsky has suffered a stroke and is recovering in hospital, his wife has confirmed.

The 95-year-old famed linguist has not been seen in public since June last year, with many commenting on the weight of his absence from the broader debate surrounding the war in Gaza.

Chomsky, who has been vocal about his support for the Palestinian cause and what he has called the “crimes” of the Israeli state, has been notably absent from demonstrations and discussions on the issue over the last year.

Valeria Chomsky told the Associated Press via email, that the MIT professor is currently in a Sao Paulo hospital in her native country of Brazil after suffering from a stroke in June last year. The couple travelled on an ambulance jet with two nurses once he was well enough to leave the United States.

Truly.

Yes, Chomski would never have lowered himself to the puerile level of comment demonstrated by the headline to this article.

Who?

Hey, it's his birthday today. Had to ask ChatGPT who the hell he was, and there it was.

Happy Birthday 97th Noam. XXX

a. Who the hell he is?  Have you been hiding under a rock most of your life?

b. Noam was born December 7th

c. ChatGPT is garbage.  Chomsky would be the first to say.

Valeria Wasserman (62) yrs old), wife of Chomsky since 2014.

Correction, maybe only 34/35 yrs younger, as exact date unknown, plus his birthday isn't until Dec.

I truly and deeply RESPECT this man. He changed my thinking and my overall world view and I am grateful for the knowledge.

His daughter will get most of his money.  Aviva Chomsky totally approves of her father's bride. That's a big tribute.

Instead of Noam  Chomsky we have

Kristie Noem

now.

Me, too.

I am thankful to this man.

By the way, during the era of the end of the Vietnam war, Chomsky was a powerful voice to end the madness.

It took guts, since there were REAL threats against him.

Chomsky's voice provided us with some perspective in a world, today, where there is none, or very little.

Unfortunately, since the good old days....Talks at Google has rapidly deteriorated.

Never paid much attention to him, or knew any of his views, as for some reason, I thought he was a commie :cheesy:

Until now, and quick Google, anti govt, authority, so seems OK to me.  Not really any original thinking or mind opening.  Just a bit of common sense.   Guess a good thing, he had a platform.

Beats the propaganda of this century so far, of war mongers & eco warrior's profit agenda via control, instead of free enterprise / market.

Yes.

He is an anarchist....alright...for sure....

But, NOT the meaning of anarchist which might immediately come to mind.

Noam Chomsky identifies his anarchist "bent" as anarcho-syndicalism and libertarian socialism. At its heart, his view is a profound skepticism of all forms of authority and hierarchy, from the state to corporations. He argues that any power structure is not inherently legitimate and must justify its existence. If it cannot, Chomsky believes it should be dismantled and replaced by a more free and just system.

His commitment to anarcho-syndicalism focuses on the economy, advocating for workers to have direct, democratic control over their workplaces. Instead of a top-down corporate structure or state control, he envisions a society organized from the bottom up. Production and social affairs would be managed by federations of worker councils and community assemblies, eliminating what he considers the oppressive nature of renting oneself for a wage.

As a libertarian socialist, Chomsky distinguishes his views from right-libertarianism by opposing all forms of concentrated, unaccountable power, not just the state. This includes private tyranny in the form of corporate control. His ideal is not chaos, but a highly organized and complex society based on voluntary association, free cooperation, and direct democratic participation in all aspects of life.

Naturally, we all agree with Chomsky.

(Interviewer is a NITWIT student, and probably not even from MIT. What a nitwit!)

You have to respect Chomsky, but Dershowitz too has grown on me. Both very intelligent men, obviously Chomsky is a cut above.

Unlike Alan, Naom doesn't suffer from excessive love for Israel, which makes Chomsky's thinking better.

This is correct.

Unlike Chomsky, Alan lacks Syntactic Structures.....

Just to name one thing, among many things.

Other than Marx he is the greatest Jew who ever lived and a titan in a world of pygmies. Who called out the Zionist state for the racist contruct that it is. I shall mourn him when he's gone. I love him like no other.

He was "not so good"   during the Covidiocy  Plandemic

advocating forced vaccinations !!!!!

Are you the same guy that wanted Trump to be beaten by prison guards in the other thread?

Are you sure Chomsky didn't screw up your mind beyond the point of repair?

You obviously don't.

Your syntactic structures are in tact.

Shows you read Chomsky, for sure.

Arguably Norman Finkelstein called out the Zionists even more. But they are both friends and respect each other, so who are we to play favourites.

I love Norman as well - classic moment when he calls out a woke student at a debate.

A man like Finkelstein, a man like Chomsky, and you know what true integrity and true wisdom are.

if only Chomsky were more exciting and Finkelstein less.
