Australia is home to nine of the world's ten deadliest snakes, with several species renowned for their highly toxic venom and potential to cause fatalities if untreated. The most venomous snake in the world, the inland taipan, possesses venom that can kill an adult human within an hour if left untreated. The eastern brown snake is responsible for more human fatalities in Australia than any other snake species, with its venom capable of causing death in under 15 minutes.

I know. I can look things up and copy and paste also. I know about snakes because I try to avoid them being an outdoorsman, and walked over rattlesnakes while hunting and saw more in my yard than while hunting. That there are so many here is one other reason I will take my daughter away asap, as it only takes one snakebite to ruin your day.

Yes, but the beach ones are the most beautiful. I've seen every variety, from a hunting stand, fishing boat, beach, mountain and on farms.

They all look the same to me.

Snake bites are rare. Mostly due to people trying to kill them.

Thousands every year in Thailand alone. Farmers are the victims.

Unlikely for farangs. Farms are the worst as snakes hide under logs and rocks.

You can get bitten anywhere in Thailand. Bangkok alone has millions of snakes because of it's location, and they're found in houses all the time. Farmers kill them but get bit because of walking in high grass and rice. Walking on mountains here isn't safe, as that's where many of the deadliest Kraits, Vipers, Cobras  and Mambas are.

You sound scared! Don't go to Australia! The most deadly will be waiting at the airport for u.

Back to the topic. No, life hasn't gotten better because of aging, and not being able to do the same things as before. Putting bad things behind you is a good thing, and when the kids are all grown, that's a good time for yourself and your partner. I'll have to wait another 10 years until that happens, as I've been a dad for 39 years already and still counting. The bucket list is still there and waiting.

I'm not scared about anything besides idiots with nuclear weapons and itchy fingers. I've hunted 50 years and seen snakes all of them, and just try to avoid them. The only reason I would go to Australia is to see Crocs and catch a Marlin.

Sitting with your partner with a bottle of good chilled wine, watching the sunset over the ocean, thinking about all the ocean has and does, is boring?

You really think you are unique!

How many other people do you think can say that they have seen sunsets thousands of time(s)?

PS; Hint; Anyone over 6 years old has lived through that many.

Any chance of YOU getting back to YOUR topic!

(Not that I care)

Sitting in a beach bungalow and enjoying the night rain can be good.

Yeh, but sitting on my patio with my Mrs, with a bottle of chilled home made vino, with a plate of carbonara , followed by cheesecake, all home made, , who needs an ocean when next door is flooded.

The colours in the sky and at sunset ni Thailand are better than in the South of France in my opinion.

Ko Samet has restaurants on the beach. Ao Manao tables on the beach.
