DTV - One Way Ticket acceptable?

Featured Replies

If entering Thailand on a DTV, is buying a one way ticket acceptable these days? Is showing the printout of the DTV Evisa sufficient for airlines? How are airlines meant to verify you have an actual visa if it's just a printout and not a fake printout of an Evisa?

I’ve been in and out lots of times on my DTV and normally don’t have a return / onward ticket. Most recently at the start of August.

I guess you could fake a visa and get away with it. A lot of airlines don’t even ask to see the visa once I say I’ve got one. Only bothered about onward ticket for visa exempt.

Yes also onward ticket for airline at departure and immigration on arrival not required.

Put that in the ridiculous basket.

Have hard copy printout of the eVisa for airline and immigration.

BTW don't wait to be asked.

Hand it with your pp.

That would be very foolish of any airline.

The details on the print out need match exactly details in pp.

For immigration the admitted till date is based on the eVisa, print out.

The thread is in regards to having a DTV (visa)

Perhaps you were entering visa exempt.

Non-B, was forced to have ticket out, perhaps only a Corona thing

Only sharing my experience with airlines I’ve used. Not saying they were right or wrong to not bother checking the visa.

Immigration is different obviously. Always give visa, passport, TDAC printout and boarding pass at immigration without being asked.

Not all airlines insist on onward flight if flying visa exempt.

Suggest your airline just overlooked onward flight requirement.

It's an airline thing.
