It was just announced that Harvard will be welcoming, as a visiting professor, drag queen Kareem Khubchandani, known popularly as "LaWhore Vagistani."

During the two semesters of his tenure, Khubchandani will teach a total of two courses: "Queer Ethnography" and "RuPaulitics: Drag, Race, and Desire."

This is all taking place under the aegis of the university's "Studies of Gender and Sexuality" program.
This is one of those things there isn't much point in debating. If someone needs to be argued into the position that this is a farce and the material being taught is academically worthless, that person is probably unreachable in the first place.

We are dealing here with the same people who would be outraged at the existence of an isolated endowed professorship somewhere that is dedicated to ideas they disapprove of, yet they themselves have no objection to entire academic departments ("gender studies" being only the most obvious) that are populated only by people with a particular ideological commitment.

They're hypocrites, then, you say. Well, they would be hypocrites if their principle were, "Academia should be ideologically neutral."
That is not their principle. Their principle is, "We win and you lose."
The looniness is evident at every level, of course, from the elementary grades through college.

Harvard is really looking to drag themselves down in a flaming heap of rubble.

I've got a bunch of lefty panties in a wad with this thread started yesterday.

The ignorance oozes from this topic. It is quite obvious that some people have never been enrolled in a university, let alone contributed to one.

Professor Khubchandani is Associate Professor of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies at Tufts University. He is teaching the  course as an elective in the Womens , Gender and Sexuality Department at Harvard.  His salary is paid by donors, not taxpayers. He was invited to be the F.O. Matthiessen Visiting Professorship of Gender and Sexuality and the course is made possible by an endowment from the members and supporters of the Harvard Gender & Sexuality Caucus.  The endowment enables Harvard to invite eminent scholars studying issues related to sexual minorities.

He will not be in drag when he teaches. He will be dressed  the same as when he teaches at Tufts. Although fashionable, he still dresses like a middle aged man.

I'll give it a miss thanks.

His brother also; Saucy Manbra.

It looks like a win-win: Harvard gains an extraordinary scholar who brings performance and identity research — first developed in the early 1980s in the south of the Netherlands — to life, and the professor gains a platform that values his creative and academic voice. Much better than locking up colorful parrots in cages. Sometimes a giant of personality psychology decides to start painting, and the world becomes a bit more colorful.

defund colleges, except for medicine and law and engineering and accounting.

in fact, just have separate medical schools, law schools.

Harvard needs to be shut down.

Lawhore Vagistani is a creative name.
