GOP Rep. Accuses Speaker Johnson of Blocking Epstein Files

Featured Replies

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) accused House Speaker Mike Johnson of working behind the scenes to block a bipartisan bill that would force the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files.

In a tweet, Massie said Johnson has delayed the swearing-in of the newest member of Congress, Democrat Adelita Grijalva of Arizona (who would be the final signature needed), and spread misinformation about the legislation to prevent a vote, contradicting Johnson’s recent public statements favoring “maximum disclosure.”

The Kentucky Republican has led the push for a discharge petition to bring the Epstein disclosure bill to the floor, a move Johnson has so far resisted despite mounting bipartisan support.

Sadly this is all optics......even with the 218th signature the petition will fail once it reaches the Senate.

The outcome will be ....."look at who blocked the release of the evidence"......but ultimately the evidence will NEVER be released.

True — the Senate will likely bury it. But that's not the point.

Trump's White House already called Massie's petition a 'hostile act,' which tells you everything. The goal isn't justice — it's control.

Even if the files stay sealed, the optics will flip — from 'who demanded transparency' to 'who protected the powerful.'
