Yamaha NVX vs ADV150/160 ???

Featured Replies

Any of you guys had some road time with Yamaha NVX vs ADV150/160 ?

Much of a difference between ADV 150 + 160 ?  These look better to me than XMAX which is more intercity than "in the city".

Is the ADV basically a PCX with a steroid-looking body/shell ?

Right, it might just be in Malaysia where I saw it.

I assumed Thailand had it...it is a sleeker looking Nmax type deal trying to compete with ADV150 I guess....it is also 150cc I believe.

Oh, it's an Aerox

The aerox is slightly smaller than the PCX and around 10k to 15k baht cheaper.

Yes, the Yamaha NVX and Aerox are essentially the same scooter, with the name "NVX" used in some markets like Malaysia and Vietnam, while it is called "Aerox" in others like Indonesia and Thailand. Both models are based on the same 155cc liquid-cooled engine and share a sporty design, though specific features and colors may vary by model year and market.

Problem with all these bikes without the step through they just aren't practical or useful, I'd like them to bring out a bigger version of the 160 Click

Very different scooters, I have tried them both, for me not comfy foot position, maybe Aerox a bit better in that respect, and I'm not tall at all..., then again I'm used to Forza... !

PCX maybe more comfy, best to at least sit on them in the showroom, or even better rent for a day before buying...

Performance wise they are in the same league, good for inner city, Forza and Xmax a nudge higher power in that respect too..., ideal for inter city ...!

The wife used to have a zoomer and it rode like a brick.

Honda sells the SH 350 in Europe (Step through) same engine as ADV/Forza. Unfortunately they don't sell it in Thailand.

Honda sold SH150, 2013 for a couple of years.

It was a bigger bike, bigger than the click, a step through. It was a flop, a shame, a step through is very practical.

The PCX150i (LED) was released 2015, I think it killed of the SH150.

Zoomer is good for what it is, a 108cc, around town, very economical, safe bike.

Fuel tank on the floor not a good idea for Thailand, I reckon she'd fill up with water riding down soi Buakhou in the rainy season.

Obviously they need to design something better than that to be a success

Keeps the center of gravity low.🤔 The tank vent is quite high But I haven't measured it. I don't go if I get wet feet.

Yes, it's a Honda so I'm sure they have a solution for wet days and good point, keeping the weight low 👍
