The photos I added were BEFORE Hamas decided to start a genocide. They clearly show that Gaza was far from a "prison camp". Camp implies tents and squalor.  I am sure there are some slums in Gaza, as in any urban area. Yet there are/were also some rather posh areas. With hotels, beachfront cafes, and the like. The impression some try to give is that it is the equivalent of Auschwitz on the Med.  Completely untrue.

A war initiated by the government that those people CHOSE to give power, chose to keep in power.  Hamas became part of the infrastructure of Gaza through the tacit or overt cooperation of the Gazan populace. What else would explain Hamas HQs being located in hospitals, and weapons depots in schools?

It is a tribute to the humanity and professionalism of the IDF that casualties are so low.

 

Remember, in WW2 100,000 people were killed in a single bombing strike on a single night. The Israelis could easily mimic that level of butchery, but have chosen not to do so.

Not exactly. Destruction of habitat and services MUST be with the intent to bring about the death of the population in question, according to the UN definition. Destruction done in an effort to kill terrorists does not match the definition.

 

Again intent is the key. There would be no damage to Gaza if Hamas had not attacked.  The damage is a result of Hamas, not of Netanyahu or Israel.
