A mentally ill Thai woman broke into a government official's home in Udon Thani, Isaan province, making herself at ease by drinking alcohol, taking a shower, and cooking. The home's owner, Aoy, found the intruder, identified as Film, inside the rented property and contacted the Ban Dung Police Station. Aoy recorded a video showing Film wrapped in a towel with belongings scattered, providing evidence of the break-in.

The incident involved Film using the house facilities, including showering, cooking rice, and consuming expensive liquor belonging to the Sub-district Administrative Organisation (SAO) secretary. Aoy questioned Film about previous break-ins, but received no response. Film appeared confused when asked by police to leave, though she was escorted back to her community.

Film's mental stability is compromised due to long-term methamphetamine (Yaba) addiction. Police received reports indicating her addiction had been ongoing for years, leading to erratic behaviors. Previously married with a child, Film's husband divorced her, leaving her homeless, a situation exacerbating her mental health issues.

Uncertainty surrounds potential legal actions by Aoy or the SAO secretary against Film. Authorities have not disclosed plans for her mental health treatment. Local residents and Film’s relatives have been asked to monitor her closely to prevent further incidents.

  • A mentally ill woman broke into an official's home, raising community concerns.

Gawd, it pays to be an official, 3 cops and a cop car for the villain.

She'll probably get city hall to send round the cleaners, take care of the mess

Film looked quite calm on the film (video). 😁
