Trump warns Gaza fighting could resume ‘as soon as I say’

President Donald Trump told CNN on Wednesday that Israeli forces could resume operations in Gaza “as soon as I say the word” if Hamas fails to uphold its part of the ceasefire deal. Trump, who brokered the current peace plan, said Israel had “held back” at his request but hinted he could authorize a return to combat if Hamas does not comply.

The president’s remarks follow rising Israeli frustration over Hamas’s slow handover of hostage remains. While all 20 living Israeli hostages have been released, only eight bodies have been returned — one reportedly not belonging to a hostage. Israel has warned that humanitarian aid shipments may be delayed in response.

Trump’s 20-point plan requires Hamas to return all hostages within 72 hours of Israel’s acceptance and to disarm in exchange for amnesty. The U.S. insists Hamas is still acting in “good faith,” citing assurances through mediators that efforts continue to recover the missing bodies, possibly buried under rubble from two years of war.

Amid reports of executions and internal violence in Gaza, Trump acknowledged uncertainty over whether Hamas is targeting civilians or rogue factions. Still, he projected optimism, saying “fifty-nine countries” now support the “Trump Peace Agreement,” and predicting expanded participation in the Abraham Accords.

Pressed by CNN on what happens if Hamas refuses to disarm, Trump replied, “Israel will return to those streets as soon as I say the word. If Israel could go in and knock the crap out of them, they’d do that.”

He also said he is working on “the Russian thing” — peace talks to end the Ukraine war — and mused which would be the greater achievement: peace in the Middle East or in Eastern Europe.

Key Takeaways:

  • Trump warns Israel could resume Gaza operations if Hamas falters.

  • Ceasefire strains grow over slow return of hostage remains.

  • U.S. still believes Hamas is acting in “good faith” through mediators.

Typical trump. He only cares about getting his name on things so he can take credit and then try to bully you about how you should act.

So far its not much different than the Biden Peace Deal that was initial heralded as a success when accepted but fell apart later. Lets see how this one goes and if it falls apart in a short time

"Dissarm or we'll dissarm you." That's a poweful statement. Hamas are finished. Their leadeship has been wiped out and they are now a ragtag mob of terrorists. If I were them I would take Trump's threat seriously.

What a blowhard. His aspirations were further inflated (if that's possible) after meeting King Charles.

I bet ya our Spec Ops is all over the place. Ill bet ya Gazans will be pointing the finger to Mossad left and right.

And maybe Trump will make Qatar expel Hamas unless they disarm.

So many options.

There's little doubt that Hamas not dissarming has already been planned for. The question is who will do the dissarming?

It would start with PsyOps, telling them to surrender. The ones who dont are the rapists and torturers who are automaticly marked anyway, so a few bodies may convince at least some.

Trump still pretending he is running the show as yet another opportunity for a peace prize goes under the bus. What a pathetic moron.

Norway better be careful ....trump may decide to bomb and/or invade them because he didn't get a peace prize.
