As we get towards the end of 2025 many of you still haven't come to realisation that you will become a year older

For those of you passing 80yo every day waking up will be a blessing .

.for those getting past 75 , your now on the downhill

I say this because I worked last night just past the palliative care section of the hospital

Those people didn't know  or even last year that they will be soon departing

Be a realist that's all I ask of you and live your life

those of you who have made 80 congratulations !!!

Your thinking may become different if your sick k at this age

eg you probably will refuse  chemo treatment more than likely

All the best to you but be a realist and the importance of making a Will and even reconnection with family you haven't spoken to for years over a disagreement even if it's a simple goodbye ,and maybe forgive them for whatever happened in the past

Times ticking on ,make a Will don't be in denial your not going anywhere ,your funeral wishes , etc

It's important but as usual many of you will want to avoid it

Your wishes , do you wish to be resuscitated?

Do you wish your organs to be donated ?

Make plans now

  • From your perspective on life I would not expect you to be around too much longer. Add to that you are a hypochondriac I would say its pretty sure.

  • I am 75, get up at 04:30 exercise in the local gym 5 days a week, getting there around 05:45 and walk on average 8km a day

As closer to 60 than 50 I realize I become older every day and every day is a blessing even now, and a bonus day.

Do not need to wait until you are 75 to realize you become older and praise every day as a new record.

Life is precious if you treat it with respect and also know how lucky you are.

The gamble now is will you make the next 20-25 years you have left ?

theres no guarantee

You can pass at any age. I don't care as I have travelled the world and made some good money in the process. I will go when my time is up and until then I intend to enjoy every day.

There is a bigger chance if you treat your own life and health with respect and make plans as you go, and do not wait until it is to late.

However if I go tomorrow, no regrets, but I still have things to do in life, so hope not

Obviously the probality is higher in an older person

I have no idea how old you are but you say you intend to enjoy everyday well that depends more on age the more you should enjoy

Should a 80 yo person be doing more enjoyable activities everyday than a 30yo person?

The older we get, what we thought was fun in our twenties, hopefully not the same as in your 50ìes, and same for in. Your 70`ies.

And having fun turns more to enjoying life instead of chasing things you can not or should not do anymore.

Why do we hear of these stories where someone did not make a Will ?

Even farang expats living alone in that we hear these stories where the embassy is trying to contact long lost relatives in the UK or Australia to say Uncle Jack has passed in his room in the Flybird condominium listening to that song Lemon tree

Well that's where your wrong , why should a 80yo man not go to a dance club ?

You see many of you want to fit the image of being old ,hobbling along , socks pulled up to the knees , pretending to walk slow ,using walking sticks

Look I was behind a slow old guy today ,he was probably younger than me ,hobbling and pretending he was old carrying a shopping bag whilst I carried 3

I passed him on the short stairway

I turned to him and said "Go to the gym ,No one feels sorry for you !!!

Don't wait until it's to late to tell the people closest to you what you really think about them.......to them all to go and burn in hell now.

Lol 😅

Once you hit 70 you should have one thought only

YOLO.....

I'm prepping to kick the rs out of what few remaining years I have left.

Care about those who have demonstrated they care about you!

If they haven't bothered for years clearly they don't.

When my late mother was dying of cancer I asked her if she wanted me to contact her brother who she hadn't spoken to for years

She didn't ,I have no idea why but that was sad

And I know many of you have lost touch with family over the years for various reasons

I'm hesitant to say now if your in your last years of life whether actually you SHOULD contact them because...they may just want to get your money if they think your dying !!!!!

well that’s nice if you still interested in going to clubs at 80, and even better chasing young girls like you did when you where in your twenties.

Go ahead, I loved clubbing and the only reason I did hit Pattaya once and awhile up to 10 years ago, but I do not have the same interest anymore now after became in a serious relationship and married. I started to see the age difference at my end of my 40íes and looking over to another man at his 50ìes with his hand all over the body of a very young girl, smiling to me, made me realize my time was up.

In my 30ìes I decided not to end up like many men in Thailand or any other place chasing girls like they where in their 20íes, and there I was knocking on the door to my 50íes.

I like the club music the scene, but I do not fit in anymore. Part of the game Wes the flirting and meeting girls. Now married there is other things to spend time on.

Everything had its time

Very similar. Get up at 5 and have a coffee and look at the news on my computer. Out the door by 545 for a one hour brisk walk that covers 6k. Keep active around the house cooking, gardening and baking. Then in the evening go out again for a 40 minute brisk walk. We have a nice gang of men and women who are also out everyday so there is chatting and comradery. Started 9 years ago when I was 64 and my kids were leaving for university in America. End up doing about 18,000 steps or about 12 miles.  Sure as heck feel better than I did 10 years ago.

Time will show, a lot of things can happen in 30 years, as well future tech and possibilities. Even the world will have changed by then. But I hope I will hit the gym like Arnold do

So now you conditioned yourself to be old

To act old will make you look old

Start going to dance clubs !!

I never see the old guys wearing long socks up to their knees like my dad's generation did ,mind you they were all neatly dressed then.

And the cardigans I never see them now

Sadly ,you can do all the exercise you want and it may ward off certain diseases , i have no idea what the common death for 80-85 but I believe cancer doesn't discriminate whether you exercise or not

Why do you play the role of the grim reaper? This is at least the third posting telling people we don't have much time left, when anyone with any sense knows no one without a terminal illness knows when their times up.You can pass while mopping a floor while the people who are 80 now you're telling them they only have 5 or so years left, might make it to 100.

I suspect you try to twist my post here from realizing you become older, there is other things in life. Chasing girls is not everything in life, especially after becoming a couple there is other things that couples can do together single can not.

As said what was fun yesterday, might not be fun today.

I've built two house, both in my Thai partner (50) of 20 years name and our 18 year old son, the car and motorbike I have transferred to my partner, I did this when I turned 70, now I'm 77, I have no savings so there's no need for a will.

By family history you can estimate to be as old as your close relatives, but of course no guarantee

Your a realist the only problem with that is ....

If things go south relationship wise .....they can kick you out !

I asked my late mother to sign the house over to me before she died ....she went to see a bloodsucking lawyer who advised her NOT to

He actually told me to wait outside the room until he spoke to her !
