  • Banging a 17yo is totally legal in the UK and Europe.

  • British history would look a lot different if lecherous royals had been forced to renounce their titles back in the olden days.   Or if they had DNA testing back then to see who their Daddy

Yup, none of us have ever been there, eh? Andy got caught with his finger in the pie.

Think I had sex with a woman 1/2 my eldest daughter's age.

Did you forget the Royal family own 1/2 of England, and a chunk of Scotland?

Americans write reeducate btw.

There are many things I do not 'know all better' as you can guess. But I was taught to spell proper English.

Americans are wrong with reeducate, and need re-educationg about the correct, preferred more common spelling. I shall let pedophile go as spelling-wise, but the meaning is sexual urges, fantasies or behaviour involving prepubescent children, generally under 13 years old, which Andrew did not show.

What was your first book about please?

(2 criminal stories, 1 family saga) Enjoy the weekend. There is a Formula one race in Austin.

And please continue with education. Never stop. Good to avoid dementia.

Yep, a Manchester City game against Everton tonight.

Grand Prix is a bit early on Sunday, but Sky F1 will repeat the highlights, if any.

I was raised by both family and schools to use correct' English, so it's hard not to notice it. Even the BBC make some bad mistakes.

I know I shouldn't pick members up on it, but when I know it is wrong or I get a red underline here on AN, I have to have a butcher's.

Scrabble and Sudoku are my only two games, they keep the old brainbox active.

Look, we're here not to write a letter to the King but express an opinion by hammering on a tiny keyboard. There little mistakes could happen. I'm happy when people use the full stop at the end of a sentence.

Glad you used 'Full Stop' and not 'Period'' as used in America, which definitely puts a Red Mark under a mis-used English word. 555

Mr Chat now tells me that the word Period WAS the original Olde English for the dot at the end of a sentence. Us Brits changed it, you Yanks kept it. I shall now admonish a girl who says she is ón her period' to STOP .

I believe pedophilia is classified as sexual attraction to prepubescent children. Not a 17 years-old

She wrote in her memoirs she started with 16.

Who knows.

He is no longer funded by the Sovereign Grant (in 2020, after he ceased to be a working royal).

Good riddance to the Duke of York ! Undoubtedly he is a grade 1 sleazebag and should not be part of public life anymore. (Tug - I understand Andrew is no longer part of the 'civil list' and is self funded). But undoubtedly Andrew should now move from Royal Lodge to Frogmore Cottage, (Harry's place), a move the King has long been mooting for.

No doubt the release of the Epstein files will heap more disgrace on Andrew but that said, as far as the ongoing chatter about the Giuffre saga, (R.I.P.), she was after all, 17 at the time, and seemed to be enjoying the high life she had chosen, before her later regrets and moneygrabbing exploits.

One of those Royal watchers on TikTok says that he's not relinquished the titles but has just agreed to stop using them.

Prince Andrew paid for a 75-year lease on Royal Lodge, granted in 2003. He paid a £1 million premium and agreed to fund £7.5 million in repairs and refurbishments, which means he does not pay annual rent but is responsible for the property's upkeep. He is also obligated to pay for all repairs, upkeep, and security, which have been estimated to cost several million pounds annually.

He was an active duty helicopter pilot during the Falklands War.

From 2001 to July 2011 Andrew worked with UK Trade & Investment, part of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, as the United Kingdom's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment. He did not cover himself with glory, and in fact sullied his reputation long before the Epstein case was in the public domain.

They're dropping like flies. First Harry, now Andrew. Who's next?

Well he is most definitely not a working member of the Royal Family so will not receive any money from the Sovereign Grant, as I believe the "Civil list" is now known.

King Charles may choose to "sub him" privately, also any legal bills, but as His Majesty is known to be quite frugal then perhaps that will be limited. That would certainly cease if he is still alive when William becomes King.

As for his own wealth, there is the unknown amount of money left to him by his mother (Queen Elizabeth II) and his grandmother - but given his reluctance/inability to repair his crumbling house that may not be that great. Unlike the Duchy of Cornwall (Prince Willliam) or the Duchy of Lancashire (King Charles) the Duchy of York (and that of Sussex) does not bring in any income.

All in all, not that good a deal being "the spare" rather than "the heir"!

Under UK law, though the age of consent is 16, sexual activity with a 17-year-old may still be criminal if shaped by coercion, grooming, or exploitation —any apparent consent is legally void, as alleged in the sexual encounter said to have taken place at Ghislaine Maxwell’s London townhouse.

The King is the Duke of Lancaster. (Income from Duchy FYE 2024 GBP27.4m.) Fun fact: the late Queen Elizabeth II was also the Duke of Lancaster.
