Buakhao double yellow line

Do you think it will last? The one way streets like soi Honey are not so strictly enforced now. Many motorcycles and a few mobile businesses going the wrong way as I went down there yesterday, Without policing these things just  get ignored!

That happens all the time in Thailand, as soon as the new weans off.

i reckon the two one ways, Soi Diana and Soi Honey are a success. They need to do it to Buakhao ASAP

Which way though? Second road is south to north, so logic (I know, I know) suggests Buakhao should be the other way round.

Yes beach road north to south, 2nd road south to north, Buakhao north to south, that's about as scientific as it gets

I doubt much science and definitely no professional traffic management has ever been applied to Pattaya's traffic woes. I reckon they totally lost the plot when they turned Naklua inbound to Dolphin into a U-turn.

Beach as one-way is a given but could be more pedestrianised.

Second road is wide enough to revert to two-way with adequate parking.

Buakhao should be mostly pedestrianised.

Roundabouts are the answer to many problems, I'd like one at the top of Pratumnak Hill, i treat it like a roundabout, then there's traffic lights which are much more efficient when switched off

The orgy of colors goes on.

The yellow lines were just a foretaste.

This morning new huge pedestrian crossing from nowhere to nowhere.

On the left no space for walking at all. Climbing the stairs often blocked by parked motorbikes.

What braindead planners are at work?

Stinking waste of money.

Indeed but obviously too challenging for Thai drivers.

There was a roundabout on Jomtien 2nd rd and Bun Kanchana. Worked perfectly (for me).

Now it's the favorite pastime: staring on empty intersection.

Sitting in a cloud of exhaust for minutes.

i saw someone get their foot/ankle run over on Buakhao the other day, definitely would be better if one way, must be multiple accidents daily

I always figured the red was best as it masks the blood stains.

I wonder how long the red will stay that bright - especially when you look at the red and white markings next to it.

About as long as the bright blue one way markings on Diana, although they have been invisible to many since the outset.

Stupid though, where are people meant to park? maybe they'd prefer it if they just went back home

It's going to get interesting.

There are a few mafia bars that won't let you park out front of their bar if you are not going in.

The no parking odd even signs seem to be from Tree town going south, not being enforced yet

Yet the photos posted are north of Tree Town.

Trust me it will never be enforced...

For a while they forbid parking in front of Treetown. Was enforced for some days or so and then given up.

On 2nd rd though they have some good money making spots around Central where they shuttle motorbikes to the yard near Thepprasit.

I reckon you are wrong.

It's a good money maker for them, look at Pattaya Tai, every day I see vehicles clamped, getting towed away

Just came back from Buakhou, the signs are posted the full length of the Soi.

I was behind a semi, articulated vehicle. I bet he can't wait to see the changes
