Ukraine Hits Russian Arms Plant With UK Storm Shadow Missiles

image.jpeg.28cd898144aac05114bc7f42a6729714.jpeg

Ukraine has struck deep inside Russia using British-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missiles, targeting a key chemical plant that produces explosives and rocket fuel for Moscow’s war machine.

Kyiv’s General Staff said a “massive combined missile and air strike” was launched against the Bryansk Chemical Plant, a major hub in Russia’s military-industrial network. Ukrainian officials claimed the Storm Shadows — long-range, low-flying missiles provided by the UK — “successfully penetrated the Russian air defence system.” The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.

The Bryansk facility, located around 350km from the Ukrainian border, is known for manufacturing gunpowder, explosives, and propellant components used in Russian artillery shells and missiles. Ukrainian military sources said the strike was intended to “degrade Russia’s ability to produce munitions used to bombard Ukrainian cities.”

If confirmed, the attack would mark one of the deepest and most strategically significant strikes carried out by Kyiv using Western weaponry. Russia has yet to acknowledge the hit but has previously accused Ukraine of escalating the conflict by targeting military-industrial sites on its soil.

The UK’s Storm Shadow missiles, capable of striking targets over 250km away, have given Ukraine a powerful precision strike capability since their first confirmed use last year. London maintains that Kyiv has the right to defend itself against Russian aggression — including attacks on legitimate military infrastructure inside Russia.

As Moscow vows retaliation and Western allies weigh the risks of escalation, the strike underscores Ukraine’s determination to take the fight beyond the front lines — and to hit Russia where it hurts most: its capacity to wage war.

Key Takeaways:

  • Ukraine used British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles to strike a key Russian chemical plant.

  • The Bryansk facility produces explosives, rocket fuel, and ammunition components.

  • The strike demonstrates Kyiv’s deep-strike capabilities and aims to cripple Russia’s arms production.

I wonder if the UK has given the slightest thought about having their own chemical plants blown up in retaliation ?  not only that but the gas pipelines and oil rigs/refineries too...they are playing a very dangerous game  with this provocative escalation.

Good job.  The UK should not be scared of Russia.

If the article is true, then there is no way Ukraine has  'been given' one of the most advanced missles in the UK inventory, it will only have been fired by the British military or contractors, guided by NATO and  US intelligence.  make no mistake NATO is at war with Russia, arms/personnel /intelligence. billions in aid for their economy (uk and European tax payers are paying for this). the end will not be a victory against a nuclear power.

Remember the Afghan war 20 years how many billions or was it trillions, wasted lives, if mighty US/British west struggled against peasents with rifles

And why would they not have been given the Storm Shadow Missiles? The Ukranie has showen the world many times over that they are very capable in the use of weapons and have showen the world how wars will be fought in the future via Ukranies incredible ability to adapt and improvise.

The Ukrainians have provided the cannon fodder that is all, storm shadows and the french version of it/ atacms, patriot missle systems and other advanced systems are not being fired by Ukrainians as these systems are not in their inventory, they will be used by the countries who supplies them or western mercenaries or if you prefer contractors from a country that uses them.

Because they are another dangerous escalation  leaving absolutely no doubt that the UK and Russia are now at war  because the missiles can not be aimed guided or fired without direct UK/NATO involvement....its not a case of just giving the missiles to Ukraine.

Do you think Mad Vlad will use the nukes? How else could he fight NATO with his 'paper tiger' army?

Maybe if pushed to the Max...

NATO is the paper tiger army.

NATO/EU/UK and the full US 100% boots on the ground might have a chance to defeat Russia at the present time..you do know that that is actually WWIII

some call it WWIIII  ?   I don’t want that at all.

Storm Shadow missile's target is programmed before before it is launched from a plane once launched it cannot self destruct nor can the target be changed. Fire and forget.

I'm pretty sure the Ukrainians would have been taught how to program and use them before they were supplied. UK or NATO does not need to be involved.

P.S. I do know what I am talking about.

Thats not difficult I'm sure they knew where the Chemical plant was they could get the coordinates off a map or even google.

They have probably got people inside Russia as well.

With love from Salisbury' ya mothers enjoy 🤔

Appeasement always works out.

Top marks to the Brits. Let's hope the Ukrainians can develop the Flamingo missile to be even more effective, leaving everything West of the Urals vulnerable, and even beyond!
