Online Appointments @ Jomtien

Featured Replies

Threads regarding appointments at Jomtien have been negative to non existent.

Also from your other thread on transfer of stamps to new pp be aware that for some services appointments are not available.

eg Transfer of stamps appointment not offered at CW.

Suggest you do it yourself without appointment or use one of the many agents in Pattaya.

I need a cane. I cannot stand for long periods.  I noticed years ago. Before I became "one of them," immigration seemed to offer some deference to older and infirm people. Has this changed?

Just an FYI about 90-day address reports at Immo/CW:

I did mine last week, arriving early in order to get a forward place in line.

With the new system being on the 3rd floor, I took a book to mark my place in line -- there were 20 others in front of me at 6:15 a.m. Then went for coffee and breakfast on Level 1, returning at about 7:30.

The officers began issuing queue tickets at about 7:45.

I stood in line waiting to get my queue ticket, but when the officer reached me, she beckoned to another officer to give me a "priority" pink plastic card, with the queue number 5.  I was puzzled and asked why the special card:  She said I looked like a senior (I am a spry 76 years old).

I thought, OK, number 5 is better than number 20.   Probably get out sooner...

However, the special pink line is served only at a single counter (A06).  Thus, if the officer at that counter arrives late (which mine did) or there is one person ahead of you with problems that need sorting out (which there was), then you might be better off using the regular queue number which has multiple desk processing applicants.  I would have saved 15 minutes by NOT using the old-age pink card.

Word to the wise...

I have never had to queue outside, I have always queued inside in the airconned reception building.

(ever since the new building was erected and you no longer had to queue up the ramp)

When I did my last extension renewal at Jomtien Immigration Office, I was in a wheelchair.  My Thai companion took all my paperwork into the reception building, stood in line, and obtained a queue number for Desk 8 while I waited outside.   After waiting for a while, I was wondering why it was taking so long, expecting my companion to return and wheel me up the ramp into the main building.

Unknown to me, my companion had gone into the main building with my paperwork. When I saw her again, she was coming out of the main building and said they wanted to see another document (which I had with me in case needed) - she took that back inside and a few minutes later came out with the numbered card used to pick up the passport the following day. She was accompanied by two Immigration officers.  One stood beside me and held open my passport while the other took our picture.  That was it. My companion did all the paperwork at Desk 8 without me needing to go inside.

If you don't have someone to go with you to stand in line to get the queue card, you may want to consider getting a rollator (wheeled walker with build in seat).  It is good to have if you cannot stand for long or walk long distances as you have your "chair" with you to sit when you need to.  I used one previously and found it very useful.  Fascino Pharmacy has them for sale as well a others such as D Pharmacy.

Jomtien does not accept appointments.

Indeed, only the Phra Nakhon Immigration Office plus offices in the following divisions seem to accept appointments:

Bangkok (Immigration Division 1)
Northeast Region (Immigration Division 4)
Northern Region (Immigration Division 5)
Southern Region (Immigration Division 6)

https://www.immigration.go.th/en/#service

Why offices coming under Immigration Divisions 2 (including Jomtien, but excluding Phra Nakhon) and 3 are unable/unwilling to accept appointments is, I suppose, just one of those little mysteries in life which we come to expect in LOS.
