The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has raided a restaurant/bar in Chanthaburi, arresting the owner and rescuing five underage victims, including a 16-year-old girl offered for sexual services. The operation, led by the Police Cyber Taskforce uncovered that more than half of the restaurant's employees were under 18. Significant evidence, including a used condom and payment records, was seized.

 

Authorities from the CIB's Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau acted on a tip-off about the venue in Khlong district. The establishment was suspected of employing minors as hostesses and facilitating commercial sex services. It was alleged that customers were allowed inappropriate physical contact with the young staff before negotiating paid sexual encounters.

 

An undercover operation was launched to confirm these activities. A plainclothes officer entered the restaurant on the evening of the raid, posing as a customer. The officer successfully negotiated a price of 3,500 baht for sexual services with the 16-year-old, referred to as "Nong Ae."

 

A 300 baht "fine" was paid to the establishment via a QR code linked to the owner, Ms. Amittada. Once the undercover officer and the minor were confirmed to be in a hotel room, a signal was given. Simultaneous raids were then executed on the restaurant and the hotel to secure the arrest and rescue the victim.

 

The raid team, accompanied by Khlong District Police and Chanthaburi provincial social development officials, moved in at approximately 23:00. At the restaurant, Ms. Amittada identified herself as the person in charge. Four more underage workers were discovered on the premises.

 

Ms. Amittada was arrested and informed of her legal rights. She, along with all seized evidence, was taken to Khlong District Police Station for processing. The five underage victims were taken into the care of social services for protection and support.

 

The operation was conducted under the direction of Pol Lt Gen Natthasak Chaowanasai, Commander of the CIB. The raid highlights ongoing efforts to combat human trafficking and the sexual exploitation of children in Thailand. Such establishments often exploit vulnerable minors, leading to severe legal consequences for the perpetrators.

 

Ms. Amittada, will face legal proceedings. The police investigation continues to gather evidence and identify any further individuals involved in the network. The rescued minors will receive necessary assistance and counselling from relevant authorities.

I bet the girls are happy.

That's my point 

 

Most 16yo girls are doing it. 

 

They call it rescued for legal purposes. So in courts they can claim the teens innocence and make stronger charges against the person who allowed it to happen. But in most cases, these teens willingly chose and wanted to do the sex service for the money. 

I am in no way saying this is a good thing to sex these children. They should be going after the customers and the boss of the establishment. 

I just think the teens are not innocent victims to be rescued. They chose and wanted and were willing do to this type of work..
