A woman in Chon Buri was pursued by a man to her home where he attempted a break-in, prompting a police investigation. The incident occurred in Sri Racha and was recorded on CCTV. Prueksa Boonlom, a 33-year-old restaurant receptionist, noticed the man following her on her motorcycle around 2 a.m. after her shift.

Prueksa described her unease upon realizing the man was tailing her, despite changes in speed. Once home, she quickly locked the inner wire mesh door. However, the man soon appeared at her gate, inquiring if local dogs were aggressive, to which she hastily replied before heading inside.

While preparing food for her child, she noticed the man again, peering through the door with his phone flashlight. He then attempted to force the outer door open, prompting Prueksa to scream and alert her partner, who confronted the intruder with a hammer, causing him to flee.

Prueksa shared the experience on social media, urging others to remain vigilant, especially at night. She advised checking vehicle mirrors and avoiding going directly home if followed. Prueksa plans to report the incident to Nong Kham Police Station, where officers will review CCTV footage to identify the suspect.

Experts stress the importance of community awareness and personal safety measures in such situations. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about personal security, particularly for those traveling alone during late hours.

Authorities are expected to use available footage to trace the suspect's movements. Residents are urged to report any suspicious behavior to the police, as investigations continue.

Not speaking for this case and glad the poor girl made it. But a good reminder for the falangs in Thailand, all considered to be minting money by the locals....a good reminder to us all to keep the low profile here, not to flash around your cash in a any hooker bar, not to show off in big pick up trucks, not to display certain vulgarity in ostentatious mansions....not to brag loudly in a drunke spree in any restaurant on one's wealth or made up assets back god know where and so on.....many people, westerners that is, are very mouthy in Thailand and have it comming...which is why I do not go back any more to places like Hua Hin that are full of such upstarts. ...

It's not the safest to have jobs where the shift ends at 2 am.

I may not call it "bad" but definately it's a world full of scams and overcharging and excessive high prices with lower quality standards, compared to the rest of Thailand.

it makes me reflect on the fact that woman are in a vulnerable position, not being seen as a dangerous victim
