Reagan was right. Trump is very wrong.

If Americans were paid alot less and similar to these 3rd world countries the tariffs wouldn't be needed, China even has slave labour in the mix. Maybe you can contact your American friends and see if they'll take massive pay cuts

I do not worry much, personally.

Economic collapse of the US would have as its end result certainly also Great Depression-like reduction of salaries and much personal hardship within the US. In this sense, Americans are indeed choosing "massive pay cuts".

Therefore, who should be worried a lot more are those Americans who still cheer such shortsighted policies on, as they will be much more directly affected as I ever could be. If stupidity is too strong a word, some might call it karma, as in the end it is cause and effect.

Not so much a matter of loving Reagan as it is to point out Trump's massive ignorance.

  • Wow Spidey. What brought that on? Try to let go or move back if you can.🙃🙃

Trump claimed that the Canadian ad was dishonest. It wasn't.

"The Golden Age of American business"?? 🤣

PS. I had to photoshop in the non-existent injury to his right ear, where they want you to believe a high-velocity rifle round hit during that fake assassination attempt.

I hope the effort is appreciated!

Another conspir goggles AN member.

So what are we to think about the tariffs imposed by Thailand.

I was somewhat surprised to see Italian coffee, sold in my country at about 120 baths equivalent, while it is sold in Thailand supermarkets for 500 bahts.

So I thought it is all tariffs, and so I thought that Thailand, as a conservative country, imposes heavy tariffs to protect its own coffee producers. As I like the Conservative view, I thought that it must be a good thing...

And I remember a neighbor in my country coming home with a case of 24 Heineken beer, and I asked him why he buys this beer that tastes like water, while we have so many good beers made in our own country. He replied:"But it is expensive", as if this would equate to a better quality and tasting beer.

I told him that the price he pays includes at least a $10. added import tax... And that he was simply giving more money to the government, with no benefits to the beer manufacturers in our country.

Oh well, tariffs, made to protect our own, now seen as a bad thing.

The Thai friends who were saying bad things about Trump's tariffs affecting Thailand, I asked them how they felt about the tariffs imposed by Thailand on other countries, giving the coffee prices as an example.

No answer yet...

So MAGA, how many times do you need to hear this?

One graph can never tell a complex story.

And yours is one of the most dishonest ones possible, missing "Services".

This is why the world laughs about the dumb and uneducated Americans, who do not even understand the source of their own (comparable to the World) wealth. I for one will be laughing about the irony, that the USA will have destroyed its underpinnings for being a world power simply by its own ignorance. Good riddance!

Absolutely correct, most people just don't comprehend the fact that America became the world's largest economy after World War II due to the lack of tariffs, and the open economy.

Trump is a major saboteur, and the long-term ramifications of his policies will be a disaster for the US, just like his 17 major business failures and his 5 enormous bankruptcies. The goon is a one-man wrecking crew.

If only Trump was willing to read a briefing paper or a book he might know something about globalization and the inherent ecosystems within it, instead he goes on and on about the evils of trade imbalances, and yet everything he manufactures is made in China.

Ask any ENT and they will tell you that ear tissue never heals properly, and it certainly doesn't heal miraculously in 5 days after being hit with a high velocity round.

American products are quite good, but American firms produce them abroad, and repatriate part of their earnings to the US.

Ex Apple is selling its products worldwide, but around 80% of its R&D is made in the US.

Crappy cars though.

“If fascism ever comes to America, it will come in the name of liberalism”

Reagan was right.
