No, I mean Central Pattaya, and the 1st Floor.

Has what everybody calls "Festival" now changed to just Central Pattaya or is this somewhere completely different?

Seems likely, and it's on the same floor as the ground outside, AKA 1st floor in these parts.

Central Festival Pattaya Beach ?   (mostly just called Centun)

and is the first floor the ground floor or the next floor up from the ground  ?  ground being the level  of the entrance at  near sea level

not the sub sea level basement level  (  and  not including the 13th floor 😋)

As above it's no longer got the Festival bit in it's name, and just to be difficult, what you call the basement level Central call the ground and what most folk would call the ground floor (the one at near sea level) they call the first IIRC.

I've no idea where Superrich is as it's been reported as both Ground and First depending on what you read as it appears some others are just as confused about floor names/numbers.

Don;t think the OP will know either as the photo has been pinched from elsewhere.

Do you trust a Thai website to be kept up to date?  The picture used is from at best early 2024 and maybe much earlier.  Here's one of the same signage courtesy of Google Streetview in Jun 2024.

Central reportedly decided to remove Plaza, Festival etc from their names across the board although I'm not sure how far through the process they are.  I still often refer to it as Central Festival but it's no longer the case.

no of course not 😝  as I just posted 2 different websites from the same company with differing names of the stores .

Sure but they'll convert to THB first then to USD so it's a double whammy. Better to change most of it at Wing exchange in Cambodia.

I just used one of their Bangkok branches, to convert THB to USD, and weirdly the $100 bills were slightly more expensive than the smaller bills 🤔

Already answered (EUR - USD)

After all that bickering I am confused.

Is it still there at Central on beach rd.?

Is it the "real" Superrich?

I remember there were two of them?

Rates significantly better than TT? (or Damini)

Update from earlier today.

Here are the floor descriptions as used by Central.  As mentioned upthread, what most people I think would call the basement is Level G, street level is Level 1 and it goes up from there to Level 6.

Capture.JPG.4221c5488bc7a76653f15ace4ece9c5a.JPG

Superrich is on Level 1 and not easy to spot.  If you enter on Level 1 from Beach Road it's just a short distance in on your right hand side but hidden somewhat by an escalator and a coffee (?) stand.  There's a door behind it to that takes you out to the car park access road and looks like it might be a drop off point for Hilton customers.

Google Street View Location.

Exchange rate was identical to a nearby TT for GBP and Euro, and better for USD.

Edit:  The post didn't like my attempt to add a link to the Street View location so I'll try again without the fancy bit so you'll need to manually access it.

You'd (most probably) have to exchange euros into baht, and then the baht into dollars.

Yes, it's the 'green' one, Superrich Thailand.

There are two.

The two "Superrich" colors are Green Label and Orange Label, which are the color-coded brands for two competing currency exchange companies in Thailand. Green Label (Superrich Thailand) often has slightly better rates, while Orange Label (SuperRich 1965) is known for its stable exchange rates and strong reputation.

It's on the street level, regardless of what you call that in each country (ground floor, first floor, or whatever). Right next to the entrance to the Hilton Hotel.
As for the exchange rate, which is the important thing, it's nothing like the great rate at SuperRich at the airport and it's even worse than TT's.

The rate for UKP yesterday was better than all the banks on the 4th floor.

This Superrich (green) does not have an airport branch but the Orange one will give you better rates if you want to travel there.

If you go out of Central to Beach Road and turn right you'll come to a TT Exchange in a couple of minutes.  When I passed at the weekend the exchange rates there were identical to Superrich for GBP and Euro.  Superrich was better for USD.

The same is true just now as the rates at each branch can be seen on their websites.
