But I know there is a core group of 5 members here that will defend disgusting and racist behavior by Israelis on the Thai people.

I am resigned to the fact that just like the IDF they will defend them no matter what they do.

I've also met Israeli who have said exactly the thing that @MalcolmB has posted earlier. That they avoid other Israelis when they are abroad, for the reasons stated.

I guess the truth is too hard to swallow for people used to living a lie.

It is not just us, the normally reserved Thais who prefer to avoid confrontations are also challenging them.

This Thai receptionist from a resort did last month was kneed, kicked and choked by three Israeli men and the poor woman had done nothing more than ask them to pay their bill. 
Disgusting.

It seems like the war really is heavily affecting the mental health of the soldiers.

It seems a lot of them don't like to pay.

So the solution to this is to impose very steep fines for people who don't pay and act like thugs -- before kicking them out of the country. Make they pay steep fines and then kick them out and ban them. 

Future tourists will get the message and change their attitudes.

The business owners don't want to get screwed and lose money and have to deal with potentially violent customers. 

Maybe the "No Israelis" signs are also an attempt to get the attention of govt officials to resolve this problem.
