Huntingdon Train Horror: Knife Attacker Known To Authorities

 

 

Britain was left reeling Saturday night after a knife-wielding maniac stabbed 11 passengers during a 14-minute rampage aboard an LNER train from Doncaster to London, before being tackled and tasered by armed police at Huntingdon station.

 

The suspect — a 32-year-old man from Peterborough with known mental health issues — was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Terrorism has been ruled out, though police initially treated it as a possible marauding terror attack under “Code Plato.”

 

Passengers described a scene of sheer panic as the attacker, carrying a six-inch blade, stormed through the carriages shouting “The Devil is not going to win!” One witness, Dayna Arnold, 48, fell to the floor and begged him not to stab her. “Something shifted in his face,” she said. “He just carried on.”

 

Two victims — including a heroic LNER staff member who tried to stop the assailant — remain in life-threatening condition. Deputy Chief Constable Stuart Cundy called the staffer’s actions “nothing short of heroic and undoubtedly lifesaving.”

CCTV and eyewitness videos obtained by the Daily Mail showed passengers sprinting down the platform at Huntingdon as the attacker calmly followed, knife in hand. He later jumped onto the tracks, shouting “kill me!” before officers overwhelmed him.

 

The 6.25 pm Doncaster–London King’s Cross service made an emergency stop after the driver alerted authorities. Police and medics treated multiple bloodied and traumatized passengers at the scene.

 

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood praised the “exceptional bravery” of staff and passengers, while King Charles said he was “truly appalled and shocked” by the “dreadful attack.”

 

Opposition leader Kemi Badenoch said the incident showed “something is clearly going wrong with our society,” renewing calls for urgent reform in Britain’s failing mental-health system.

 

Train services between London and Peterborough remained disrupted overnight as forensics combed through blood-stained carriages.

The Boer War, WWI and WWII created  hundreds of thousands of traumatized people, and yet they did not go on killing sprees.

Society removed the social constraints of manners, consideration for others and restraint.

I don’t think mental illness has been given as an excuse. It is more of a reason.

Mentally well people do not go on killing sprees.

Well the UK used to have asylums and institutions for the mentally ill, but most got closed down during various spending cuts, and replaced with "care in the community" which clearly doesn't work.

Before this gets out of hand its being reported this morning the knifeman was alone when he decided to go on the rampage he is not a muslim no one heared him yelling alah Akbar as he ran through the Train he was yelling " The devil won't Win " so all this muslim rubbish can be put to bed, he was just a guy with mental problems, and very lucky he was not shot dead by the armed response on scene. The second suspect has been released as he had nothing to do with it sadly he was Tasered after shouting its not me.
