Visa exemption to retirement

Featured Replies

Can someone confirm it possible to get the visa exemption and then convert to non o for retirement. It does say online that the exemption is strictly for tourist and urgent business. Also is it required to have onward travel as before.

You're in the cannabis forum.

Probably only going to get some stoned replies.

Ask the mods to move to appropriate forum.

Yes it's possible.  It is also possible to get the initial non-O visa outside the country through the e-visa system, might be easier to do that.  If doing it in Thailand you'll need a local bank account with 800k in it, and may well need to show the airline onward travel.  If you don't have an account already you'll struggle to open one on an exempt entry.

Lots of threads on this.....
