It is and it isn't. Some societal norms remain in Asia (okay, east and SE asia). In Thailand, for example, young people are still respectful to older people, by and large. But the self-entitlement of the current 20-somethings is here too for sure. Social media is their conduit to both copy and engage with the influencers who are the idols of self-entitlement.
