A 58-year-old municipal councillor in Lampang province was seriously injured after being stabbed by his wife during a heated argument over divorce and financial issues. The incident occurred on the morning of 6 November at their home in Ban Phueng village, Sala subdistrict, Ko Kha district, leaving the victim bleeding on the ground outside the house.

Emergency responders from the Ko Kha Rescue Association arrived to find the man, who serves as a member of the local municipal council, lying in a pool of blood near a food stall in front of his home. He had sustained stab wounds to his arm and abdomen, inflicted with a five-inch kitchen knife. Rescuers provided first aid before rushing him to Ko Kha Hospital for emergency treatment.

Initial police investigations identified the attacker as his 56-year-old wife, who runs a local food shop. Witnesses said the couple began arguing over unresolved divorce proceedings and outstanding debts. During the confrontation, the woman reportedly lost her temper, grabbed a knife and stabbed her husband before he attempted to flee outside but collapsed from his injuries.

Police officers quickly detained the suspect at the scene and took her into custody for questioning at Ko Kha Police Station. She is expected to face formal charges as investigators continue to determine the precise motive behind the attack.

I guess she will not need to worry about finances anymore or the divorce. Time well spent in prison for her actions.
