HMRC are checking people leaving the UK against Child Benefit payments then failing to check that they returned from holiday and stopped the child benefit payments. Pensioners going on holiday might want check that HMRC don't do the same with the pension increase in April or stop access to the NHS. You can bet if they are doing this with Child Benefit then other benefits will be next.
