A staff shuttle bus overturned on a rural road in Roi Et province on 14 November 2025, leaving more than 20 workers injured, including six with serious wounds. The crash occurred at around 06.40 on the Roi Et–Phon Thong route near a bend before the Chi River bridge in Ko Kaeo, Selaphum district. Emergency medical teams from multiple agencies transported the injured to Thawat Buri Hospital and Selaphum Hospital.

Police said the white staff bus, operated by Charoenphon Transport, veered off the curve on the inbound lane toward Roi Et before striking a roadside light pole. The impact caused the bus to overturn and land upside down in a paddy field about 50 metres off the road. Responders found the pole snapped and the vehicle lying wheels-up in the mud as rescue workers lifted passengers out one by one.

Investigators learned from a passenger that the bus had collected staff in Selaphum district and was heading to a factory in Changhan district. The witness said the vehicle driver lost control suddenly as it entered the bend, swerving left before hitting the pole and flipping into the field. Around 20 passengers, men and women, were on board at the time.

Local residents noted that the crash site had been heavily flooded just two weeks earlier. They said the passengers were fortunate the floodwaters had receded, as a rollover into deep water could have resulted in drownings. The surrounding fields were recently submerged, but officials confirmed the area had dried sufficiently to allow easier rescue access.

Amarin reported that Police investigator Pol Lt Deweichiang Leekhamhom of Selaphum Police Station said officers will wait until the driver and injured employees are medically stable before conducting formal interviews. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined and authorities are examining road conditions and vehicle factors. Damage to public infrastructure, including the fallen light pole, is also being assessed.
