Trump won't release the files...

Featured Replies

If the democrats are hoping for a quick win on this, think again..

In order for the files to be released to the public, the president himself must first sign them off.

Why on earth would he do that??

He is hardly going to incriminate himself, is he?

We all know what kind of man he is, he will fight tooth and nail and scream conspiracy to high heaven before he releases a single document from those files..

  • Perhaps he will and that will just make him appear more guilty….im thinking he will pull the same lie when he was hiding his taxes….he will say it’s an ongoing investigation so it must remain secret t

  • Because the first 34 felony convictions were not enough for you to quit supporting him, lol.

He doesn't care about how guilty he looks, what he cares about is doing everything within his fibre to avoid a trial and, ultimately, jail.

I do believe it's veto proof ..

Refused to sign equals admission of guilt

again, as my post above, do you think he cares about that??

He has to sign the law.  It's veto-proof.

But due to the recently announced 'prosecution' of Epstein Democrats, the DOJ can legitimately withhold documents.  That said, the poitical backlash against Trump and Bondi/Patel will be phenomenal!

With more than 2/3 majority from the House of Representatives and unanimous adoption by the Senate, I understand that he cannot use his veto.

I will buy @Tug's suggestion that ongoing investigations will delay release; and of course Mr Squeaker Johnson has already spoken about national security considerations! Too damn right there will be national security considerations, if your Commander in Chief is about to be revealed as a predatory habitual hebophile! Imagine saluting that! "Hail to the Nonce" still scans though.

He doesn't care what plebs like us think.

He only cares about the knock at the door...

And if he can do anything within his power to delay that - you can bet your bottom dollar he will!

Duh. Do try and educate yourself about American politics before you comment on it. I guess they don't teach that in Russia where you were educated.

What is a veto-proof majority?

A two-thirds majority of both chambers is required to override a presidential veto.

What's with the nasty comments?

I am educated American politics and my point still stands.

He will do whatever he can to delay any release of incriminating evidence, even without the veto he can still fumble and bumble his way through it with excuse after excuse..

While he can’t really stop it, doubtless he’s got something up his sleeve.

Btw, your name’s in the post already, you don’t have to keep signing, Bob. Boomers and those new to forums/social media do that. It’s not polite or proper, more irritating and unnecessary. 🙂

Whether or not all the files will be released remains to be seen, how many of the files that are released will be redacted remains to be seen, and there is no doubt that his highly obedient justice department will do his bidding for him and make sure he's not incriminated on any level.

The man is guilty as sin, and everything will be done to prevent that admission from being made public. After all, he is the king.

Finally a sensible reply.

Thanks!

So guilty until proven innocent?

So you're a dictator then?

Don't get stressed over this situation, Eric.

You are already stressed enough as it is.

I'm not a dictator but I've known the man since the early 80s, and I know who he is and what he is, so yes absolutely guilty. His nature is one of a man who is utterly depraved, morally bankrupt and self-absorbed to a pathological degree, so he cares not one iota about the well-being of others, much less young women.

I believe in the 80's they would have referred to him as a megalomaniac.

not sure what the correct medical term is these days.

seems like all the dems in here are putting their feet in their mouths and will look like pathetic sheep if he does sign it, he would have to be demented if he refuses after telling the republicans to vote for it, wonder if any of those bagging him will admit they were wrong if he does sign off on it

Congress ordered the release of the JFK files back in 1992 and that still hasn't happened in its entirety, so I don't think it will happen in any meaningful way regardless of what gets passed.

Exactly.

Some people are just so desperate to see the demise of Trump that they are willing to talk themselves into delusion at the expense of reality.

Why would any seasoned criminal with money give himself up so publicly and so easily?

Thaksin did, but that's a different story.

and thats all we will get, imo..

Don't be surprised if these files are locked away till at least 2100, so the Trump clan can continue in power for many years to come.

We have seen such things play out before...

You're not paying attention to the news bob.  Trump said he's has no problem with the release of the files which in turn created the conditions for House and Senate Republicans to flip and vote for the release of the Epstein files.  House votes was literally unanimous with only one representative voting against and passed the Senate unanimously.

He'll sign the bill.

What will be released?

Let's see then.

If he does release them and there is nothing to incriminate him - then what will the left moan about then??
