Hitachi or Turkey?

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

I have an honest question:

When I buy Hitachi, outside Japan....

Am I buying Hitachi, or Turkey?

So, once again, is it....

A.  Hitachi

or

B. Turkey?

I love Japan appliances.

But, when I think of Turkey....?

I think of .....

TURKEY

And, also, a turkey.

Gobble Gobble....enjoy.....

How I miss Japan.

Back in the day, Japan was Japan, and the brand meant something.

I love Japan.

I love products designed and manufactured and serviced in Japan.

What about you?

Best Regards,

Gobble, Gobble, Globulin....

Note:   Everybody knows that....the cultures of Japan and Turkey are identical.  This is why, for consumers, this Japanese-Turkish mix makes sense.

Knowing that I am buying a Turkish product, in fact, enhances the mystique of buying Hitachi.

It's a win-win for everyone.

Adding to the mix....

The new company is based in Bangkok.....

Corporate filing, legality, distribution, or manufacturing?

I mean, how would you know for sure?

I'm not impressed with Hafele. I bought one of their large metal sensor bins. One year and the whole thing was falling apart.

I had to get them to replace the bread machine after 9 months as it looked like bits were going rusty. New one is fine, and produces lovely bread.

What is a metal sensor bin please?

It's a big metal bin with a sensor that makes the lid open automatically when you get near it. So you don't have to lift the bin lid by hand.

Nice idea, poor execution.

Sad.

Yah, the bin looks trash itself now. The bottom fell out, the lining is off. The sensor of course no longer works. All after just one year. And this thing was not cheap.

I once had a toilet, not a bread machine, which would lift the lid for me, made in Japan.

It would lift the lid, and then play a tune, anytime I deposited a loaf in it.
