People are reporting they pulled the plug on this already. I tried to looking at locations and they seemed random if they existed or not and some were hard to believe. I think X is banned in Russia for example yet it appears?

 

Musk needs to turn it back on so we can block all the Indian and Israeli grifters which have been a known problem but impossible to verify.

As far as AN is concerned, I tend to only bother with those posters who at least show some original thought or otherwise appear to be genuine, to be fair the majority. The rest I just "tune out", a bit like interference on an HF radio net!

The Bot farms  have been exposed previously. They are good for business at META and other social media websites because they encourage activity and clicks which is why they remain.

Unfortunately, they played a significant role in promoting Covid conspiracy claims and undermining  vaccines and other measures that were undertaken during the Covid crisis. They were also very vociferous after the Russian murder of the MH flight 17 air passengers, blaming  everyone and anyone except Russia. They can appear as  extremist "liberals" or "MAGA" with the intent of upsetting and inciting. All manipulative.

It's back on. And people are clamoring for Geo-location block option on their account. I know my feed would be so much better cleared of Indian spam, clutter, and misinformation.
