A 45-year-old woman was injured after being stabbed by her neighbour in Pattaya on 23 November 2025. Emergency responders from the Chonburi Sawang Boriboon Foundation treated the victim, after she was taken by motorcycle to the rescue station, located near Lotus South Pattaya, on Sukhumvit Road. The victim, Thongsuk had a stab wound under her left breast and was provided immediate medical assistance before being  transferred to Hospital.

 

The attack occurred after repeated disputes between the victim and her neighbour, 35-year-old tomboy Chanpen who lives next door with her 38-year-old girlfriend, Som. Chanpen said the victim had previously made provocative remarks, claiming false sexual involvement with Som, which caused tension and arguments between Chanpen and her partner. The night before the stabbing, Chanpen had smashed the victim’s window in anger.

 

On 23 November, after hearing further insulting remarks from the victim, Chanpen became enraged and stabbed her neighbour once with a 15 cm folding knife. She did not attempt to flee and voluntarily handed herself over to police when they arrived at the scene of the stabbing on Soi 5 Thepprasit. Police confiscated the weapon and took her into custody at Pattaya City Police Station.

 

Khoasod reported that Som, Chanpen’s girlfriend, confirmed that ongoing jealousy and provocation by the victim had repeatedly led to disputes within the household. Police stated that they would continue to investigate after the victim recovers and that Chanpen faces charges of assault with a weapon.
