A 25-year-old man was killed early on 29 November when his motorcycle lost control on a curve and struck a barrier on the Rama IV Bridge in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, causing severe fatal injuries and widespread debris across the roadway. Police from Pak Kret Police Station and rescue workers from the Por Teck Tung Foundation arrived at the scene at 01.45 after receiving reports of a fatal crash on the outbound lane towards Chaiyaphruek Road. A forensic doctor from the Institute of Forensic Science was called to assist in the investigation.

Officers discovered the body of Parin, aged 25, lying in the middle of the road with severe trauma including the left side of the face torn open, a broken left arm and a severed right leg. His black 300cc Honda Rebel motorcycle, registered in Bangkok, was found 20 metres away with its front end destroyed. Police also identified collision marks on the bridge barrier and bloodstains on the protective glass panel.

Witness Vorat Deelert, 29, an insurance officer, told police he had been returning from an accident claim in Bang Bua Thong when he spotted the overturned motorcycle on the inbound side of the bridge. He initially did not see the victim’s body, so he called Pak Kret police to report the scene. After circling back out of concern, he discovered the severely injured body lying on the road.

Naewna reported that police said initial evidence suggested Parin had been travelling at speed, failed to negotiate the curve and collided with the barrier before sliding more than 20 metres. However, investigators will review CCTV footage at the location to determine whether the crash was a solo collision or involved another vehicle. The victim’s body was transferred by rescue workers to the Institute of Forensic Science for examination.
