Car crashes into Thursday market by San Sai hospital.

Featured Replies

Just a matter of time before this happened. This stretch of road has a posted speed limit of 90k/hour and frequently has accidents due to cars trying to pass at high speeds. This market which is on Thursday (maybe some other days too, forget now) has people park along the side of the road and becomes a bottleneck. There's a school just before this too so people are crossing the road going to the market and it gets pretty hectic.

Of course nothing will be learned and nothing will change but that goes without saying.

I was a passenger driving around Issan last month and witnessed many sketchy passes.

this is a general problem in Thailand. They want fast travel and high speed limits but also want to do business directly on the side of the road.
