🧠 Key Insight

This complexity [of the anatomy of the foot] explains why barefoot walking and grounding exercises can significantly enhance proprioception and strengthen the small intrinsic muscles that supportive shoes often deselect. A weak, shoe-dependent foot loses agility and balance — while a strong, connected foot provides dynamic stability for the whole body.

âš–ī¸ Conclusion

Going barefoot offers multifaceted benefits: physiological (reduced inflammation, improved sleep, cardiovascular support), biomechanical (better posture and balance), and psychological (stress regulation and nature connectedness).

Grounding costs nothing, requires no prescription, and reinforces self-reliance over dependence on synthetic interventions. In a world increasingly disconnected—chemically, digitally, and spiritually—touching the Earth may be one of the simplest and most profound medical interventions available.

Great topic Red.

I do it every day. At the farm, I walk around the ponds barefooted, feeding the fish and ducks. I don't do it for strengthening any muscles. Although that might be a beneficial outcome. I do it because we are the link between the sun and the earth; in the medium of air and water. Just to add, that I go out in the rain if I can. Barefooted, barebacked and without my hat. On a sunny day, I look into the bright sun and reflect how wonderful it is to be in paradise**.

We are nature, and being an integral part of it, is essential if one is to reach personal understanding and belonging.

Everything has energy. Everything has rhythm, Everything has vibration. Everything has resonance. Including ourselves. Without the energy within us, we would not be able to function as we do. The bio-electrical energy sends the blood around the blood-vascular system, to the very extremes of our bodies. Allows movement, thought and understanding. It allows us to reason to calculate and to memorise.

** We have more chance of winning the Thai lottery 10 times running than we are to be born. And yet we are here. How lucky we are to be in nature's paradise.

Energy and frequency are everywhere. Buildings used to be erected to harness them.
