Thailand has demolished a casino in Cambodia used as a drone control hub, according to the Royal Thai Army. This operation is part of Thailand's efforts to counter Cambodia's rocket bases seen as threats to Thai communities. The move was confirmed by army spokesman Maj Gen Winthai Suvaree after a Thai fighter jet bombed the casino near Chong An Ma in Nam Yuen district, Ubon Ratchathani.

The tensions escalated following Cambodian attacks on Sunday that appeared to deliberately target Thailand, prompting defensive measures. Maj Gen Winthai emphasized the need to dismantle Cambodia’s rocket installations that endanger both military and civilians on Thai soil. These installations were linked to past incidents of rocket fire causing casualties in Thailand as recently as July.

Maj Gen Winthai stated that the destruction of Cambodia's fire-support systems remains a priority for Thailand’s military strategy. The ongoing confrontations underscore the gravity of the situation and the potential risks for escalating conflict. By targeting strategic infrastructure, Thailand aims to neutralize threats and safeguard its territory.

Looking ahead, Thailand plans to continue its operations against threats emanating from Cambodia. However, diplomatic channels remain open as both nations navigate this complex security challenge. The international community watches closely, hoping for a resolution that prevents further escalation, reported The Nation.

Key Takeaways

  • Thailand demolished a Cambodian casino used for drone operations.
  • The action follows Cambodian rocket attacks causing Thai casualties.

Hun Sen (via his nepo-baby) is too addicted to the eye-watering profits from his joint ventures with Chinese organised crime to stop. Not to mention the distraction effect of an external enemy on his long-suffering population.

It will quieten down when a deal to allow him to carry on with his scam centres is worked out.

I wonder what he'd do if Thailand started targeting them with F-16's?

It'd make Thailand popular with most of the international community...
